Stayed here with group of 8 persons last week before travelling to Inishmore the following day. Super convenient short drive to the ferry. Booked direct - Reasonable rooms for the price of €70 pp including what we all agreed was one of the best breakfasts we have had in a long time. Really lovely staff- would stay again.

•the review is for the restaurant part of the hotel I ate at the Cruiscin lan on Saturday night last. The bar and restaurant are comfortable and there are lovely views at the rear of the dining area. I ordered the fish and chips priced at 17 euro. The fish arrived almost frozen solid. It was obvious that the fish was not fresh. The chips are not fresh either so for the price you are getting food made from a freezer. The young waiter apologised and returned 20 mins later with a newly prepared meal. After a day of travelling, I was famished and ate almost all the meal. When I got to the centre of the fish, I found it was frozen too. It reminded me of fish when it was re-frozen after being thawed. It was awful. The manager/owner was aware of this but made no approach to me. I informed the waiter who was very nice about it. I paid the bill but there was no concession from the manager. How you can have a restaurant right by the sea and serve food like that is very strange. There are few restaurants nearby and those on foot will struggle for an alternative, having said that, Supermacs a few doors away serve much better food. The one star is for the young waiter.

I missed the boat for Irish Mor and found this gem. Highly recommend room perfect, food yummy and a totally welcoming staff as I was annoyed at missing ferry by 2 minutes. Travelled from Newbridge in Kildare. Bed linen crisp and everywhere spotless. 5 stars here. Pauline Harty

This is a clean hotel, staff are very friendly and location is perfect on the the main street. It is expensive for the standard of accommodation room fittings and fixtures. 250 euro room per night for a couple. Doors are locked at night until late in the morning so don’t forget your key! In summary a clean hotel with friendly staff but seems to be overpriced.

We stopped here for a late lunch last Sunday. Food was good and service was efficient . We would revisit if in the town again . It seems to be a very well established local restaurant/ pub with reliable food and service. Friendly staff , no problem parking nearby .

I visited this established and great regret I should have visited anywhere else. I went in with my dad in a wheelchair. I asked the young lady for one of the four free table viewing out the back as dad likes to see out. The young lady had to ask the owner, small bald man as I didn't get he's name. She came back and asked was it for lunch and when I said tea and snacks she then said they were booked. I was going to walk out and my dad said he would love a cup of tea. The young lady was advised again to place us in a corner with all walls around us.I don't blame the young lady as she was nice and she was told where to put us. I was watching for about 40 mins and those tables never filled. When two different family then came after 40 mins and asked for a table, they gave them the so called booked tables. I don't mind myself not getting a table but the way in which that owner treated someone in a wheelchair, shame on him. I will never step inside that place ever again. It might have been fathers day but it's one I won't forget in a hurry. I hope all dad's had a good one but unfortunately us two dad's didn't.

Stayed here for a night recently and had lunch, dinner and breakfast following morning. The owner and staff were very friendly, location is excellent and the food was consistently good quality. Rates were quite reasonable and room was clean. Four stars just because there didn't seem to be much in the ways of hot water and heating was a bit limited, but it was their first day back open in the year, so that could have been the reason. Will return if I'm back in the area!

I was passing through 19th Sept'22 and dropped in for food around noon. The bargirl was pleasant & gave me the food options so I ordered the roast beef dinner. The eating area wasn't busy except for 3 of us and locals were dropping in which is always a good sign. The meal was fresh & hot and presented in good time. Beef was good quality and tasty. Altogether for a tourist area price was reasonable. If I was passing would drop in for food again. If I had seen the other reviews I might have hesitated. But I can't comment on the accomodation aspects of the Hotel.

a number of issues during our stay 17/09/22. Pricing. I paid 240 euro for a room for 2 adults and an add on of 15 euro for my daughter..total 255. Connemara coast cost 199 euro for same group. It has excellent facilities, unfortunately for us, it had no rooms. This establishment is very basic and unsanitary Please see the attachment of a pricelist displayed in hotel. We were over charged. Secondly, the water, undrinkable, no water in the rooms. No facility to get water once bar closed. There should be water in the room once you have a kettle regardless of whether there's a water notice or not. To have NO alternate source of water in rooms when there's manganese in the water is DANGEROUS. Thirdly, unlockable patio door. I had my daughter with us, she actually stayed on a couch in a relatives house in furbo as she could not stay alone in an unlocked room whilst we were at a function for a few hrs. I packed her up and dropped here there, which was not the plan. I was fortunate family facilitated me. I also had an expensive laptop for work with me which couldn't be left in an open room. I had to carry this laptop around with me. See photo of attached bed. I pulled back the covers to use this bed and could visibly see that the linen hadn't been changed. That's the bed my daughter was expected to sleep in. Overall appalling. No staff available this am to speak to. . I went into bar and staff were clearing after breakfast. No one even aware I was there so I just left.
