Red Roof Inn Springfield, IL

We were exhausted from loading the U-Haul. We arrived at the hotel at 1:30am tired and ready to get a decent night’s sleep. Boy were we wrong. To start, the door didn’t have a room number. The room was awful. There were cigarette burns in the sheets and blankets. There was also dirt on the sheets. The bathtub was disgusting. We slept with our clothes on for fear what might be on the linens. The door wouldn’t lock. Thank goodness I put the hook on the door. When we woke up the door was open about 1/2 inch. To make things better, it was snowing outside. The owners didn’t care at all.

I love the redroof in springfeild il it was very clean quite no one knock on the door the man at front desk very nice kind he ask if we need anything I said no we good thanks I would rent from them again

Small room, but very clean and packed with amenities. Only glitch was that the a/c - heating unit wouldn't shut off. Had to pull the plug. Friendly, helpful staff and great morning coffee in the lobby. Ample, free parking for our large RV. Would stay again when in the area.

Won’t stay again sorry. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Air conditioner was quiet and worked well. Everything was old and needed fresh paint, etc. considering the others guests, it was not comfortable to leave the room at night.

Staff was very nice and accomodative. However, room had water leaking in from air conditioning in upper unit and it was falling on the telephone. Maintenance was to be called the next day and only thing done was to put towels down to absorb the water.

You get what you pay for; I was looking for just an overnight economical stay after a late night at the IL State Fair. We had to leave early the next morning anyway… The place was filthy, smelled of cigarettes, ****, mildew, and staleness. Burn holes in bedding, paint chipping, and splattered on laminate flooring. Just overall disgusting. Needless to say….didn’t get much res, so the only advantage was getting out of there earlier than planned.

Keep on looking - not worth it Very dated, large gap under door, bugs in the room, stain on the bedding. Appears some of the guest may live at the motel as chairs and grills were outside the room. Upon checking in and stepping into the room we decided to not stay at the hotel.

Food wasn’t available. Bed comfort was nice and nice bed. Room had a handicap-cap bathroom, didn’t ask for or needed a handi-cap room. Also, the bed took up much of the room that a person in a wheelchair couldn’t use the room. Front door wouldn’t close, unless you slammed it. Air conditioner fan hardly blows even on high.

No bugs. Tv did not work. brought another tv that also did not work. looks like a lot people living there.
