Seaton House

Seaton House, formerly known as The Scores Hotel, has been transformed. It looks beautiful inside. There’s been much hype since opening. I was sad to decide, that on my first visit I wouldn’t rush back. Like most of the hotels in St Andrews, it’s fairly expensive. Almost £5 for one slice of sourdough toast I thought was high. The tablet needs perfecting. It was ‘too sugary’. Tablet connoisseurs will know what I mean. The service was good in that they were very attentive but I felt there was a lack of experience showing through. Good luck in your venture but things just need to be sharper to entice people back.

Our second visit to Seaton House hotel and it was simply wonderful! Beautiful seaview room absolutely stunning decor so tasteful & a view over the bay ! Gorgeous throughout immaculate bar with dark wood so atmospheric. Golf course a few steps away. Staff again so polite & attentive. Best hotel in St. Andrews highly recommend it.

My partner and I checked out yesterday from this lovely lovely small hotel we stayed for 4 nights in one of the rooms on the 3rd floor good size and a view to die for. A high light for myself was they offer a turn down service in which your room is made ready for you just to jump into bed from a long day we had been lucky enough to have the same lovely girl (red hair) do our service she was just so friendly and very helpful with a couple of request we had. We will definitely be back in the future see you soon Seaton House.

This is just a fancy Premier Inn. Over priced and shocking for the tiny room. A great location but that is all this place has to offer. The room wasn't very clean. Marks on the bedding and walls and the previous guest's rubbish in the bin. Breakfast was disappointing.

Wow! Gorgeous hotel with fantastic staff. Jasmine gave us a warm welcome and looked after us so well. Our room was beautiful with everything we needed. We ate in the bar. Food and drink was delicious. Breakfast was also great. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Invited to 'complimentary canapés with cocktails' early evening. Between 4 of us we got 1 olive canapé each. The cocktails were £15 - £20. Most embarrassing we were given card machine immediately to pay for drinks that had not even started to be made. The bill was presented to our guest. We will not be back.

First visit to this charming and classy little hotel. Such attention to detail. Classy surroundings in the bar and restaurant. The room is really lovely. A sea view double . Again so classy. With a Cosy feel. On arrival we were meet with a warm welcome. And a complimentary drink while checking in. Staff always polite, friendly and willing to help. Breakfast was great. Really can't fault. We'd return again soon. Thank you for looking after us so well.

My wife booked a stay for 2 days at Seaton House for my 70th birthday. This hotel is stunning staff are friendly and efficient. Welcoming drink always goes well.The deluxe room 109 we had looked out the back of the hotel onto a green area. Unless you pay for the top room where you look out the front towards the sea I always feel a garden view isn’t really a view. Don’t take this statement as a complaint as most city hotels don’t have a view as such.We we’re lucky to get a car parking space straight across from the hotel which is free.The hotel does have valet parking which also free.The hotel doesn’t have a sign outside indicating Seaton House. I would highly recommend this hotel. I have stayed in 2 other hotels in St Andrews with similar star rating but this is certainly the best.

Perfect stay from start to finish. Location, rooms, food, staff, service and the bars amazing whiskey offering! Are all extraordinary. Can’t wait to revisit this hotel. Very highly recommended. Special thank you to General Manager Michael Davern who went above and beyond to help out with something important to us all on our first night. Thank you to all at Seaton House for playing a great part in making our golf experience to St Andrews so memorable.
