Cabot Boutique Hotel

We stayed two nights at the Cabot Boutique Hotel, and it was amazing. Charming and spacious historic room with perhaps the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in in a hotel. The room and hotel was spotlessly clean and quiet, and the continental breakfast that was delivered right to our door was great. Fresh, flaky croissant, hard-boiled egg, orange juice, apple and a yogurt made for a great start to each day. We had an issue getting the TV to work, and someone came while we were out and fixed it for us. Highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights end of August. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable, but the service aspects leave alot to be desired. The same boring breakfast, in a cardboard box every day. Awful coffee in a nespresso. Didn't see a single soul in the whole time. Trying to have a shower in a jacuzzi tub with a handheld shower wand was a challenge. The main complaint however is that they overcharged my credit card by almost $300. I sent emails to everyone listed on their site. Not one answer. Tried to phone, voice mailbox always full. Luckily I had saved my confirmation email and I got my bank to look into it. They were able to fix it. Be careful.

The location is great ... in a residential neighbourhood, close to Bannerman Park and a 10 minute walk to Water and George Streets (restaurants and bars) and 10 minutes to Quidi Vidi Lake. This is an Inn with no visible hosts ... keys and instructions are left in an envelope at the front door, a continental breakfast is delivered in a box to your door each morning (boiled egg, muffin or croissant, yogurt, apple, juice). An in-room Nespresso machine (with extra pods available in the communal dining area on the ground floor) was a morning life-saver. Milk was available from the fridge in the dining area, but not in the bedrooms. Our room was large enough for a king sized bed and a small sitting area (2 arm chairs and a table). An in-window air conditioner helped keep the edge off of the summer heat in the evenings, but was loud when trying to sleep. Everything was clean. There were 5-6 car parking spaces squeezed into the backyard, which seemed to be enough for all guests when we stayed (although there are more rooms than parking spaces, so parking is not guaranteed).

Were in town for the music festival. Room was really beautiful and comfortable, had its own Nespresso machine too. Shower was low on water pressure but everything else in the room was great. Breakfast was more of continental- which was okay if the room price was lower. You could get a cheaper deal at a hotel and still get hot breakfast. Parking is tight so better take a walk or another ride around if you don’t wanna lose your spot.

Worse experience ever. No body in the house, keys in envelop, breakfast in a box, no cleaning of room if you stay more than one night (aleas we did), dirty stairs, light from the hall flooding the room at night,mugs with glue from the price tag still on, fans from the laundry room all night, impossible to sleep... even airbnb is better !!! NOT A BOUTIQUE HOTEL

This is a beautiful little boutique hotel. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and the room was huge.the decor is so charming and the bed was very comfortable. This is a fab place to stay. I have not one negative thing to say. We stayed here twice and loved it.

This 'boutique hotel' is actually run as a self-serve airbnb style rooms. The bed in #4 has a huge dip in the middle. There was an unadvertised continental breakfast which was a pleasant surprise. There is a Sobeys nearby.
