Nun, nachdem wir in der 'Gorge Lodge' südlich von Durban einen 5-Sterne Service erhielten, ist es vermutlich nicht fair, gleichzeitig eine Bewertung eines Guest Houses in St Lucia abzugeben. Die Besitzerin des Guesthouses war nett, nicht aufdringlich und eher zurückhaltend. Die Möbel in den Zimmern würden einen upgrade verdienen und die Sauberkeit war auch nicht top, zumal die monkeys jeweils den Frühstücksraum am frühen Morgen in Beschlag nahmen. Leider hatten wir während 2 von 3 Tagen kein Internet. Für den ersten Ausfall war ein Hagelsturm verantwortlich und beim zweiten ist vermutlich der Router wegen den ständigen Stromabschaltungen ausgefallen. Das war Pech, aber damit muss man in Südafrika klar kommen. Leider wurde auch der Pool nach dem Sturm nicht gereinigt. Positiv bewerten möchte ich das reichhaltige Frühstück. Obwohl max 2 Zimmer belegt waren, war die Auswahl immer ausgezeichnet und auch warmes Frühstück wurde offeriert.

Non è assolutamente un 4 stelle, hotel dislocato in più parti contigue fra loro. Noi soggiornavano in una parte non principale, la struttura è molto semplice, nelle parti comuni troviamo cucina, barbecue interno,salone per pranzo e cena, piscina e bel giardino esterno. Camere non pulitissime, veneziane con polvere da mesi, fessure alle finestre che poteva passare qualsiasi animale, infatti abbiamo trovato un grande scarafaggio in camera. Colazione sufficiente, non ci torneremmo affatto. Mafari cercare qualcosa nelle vicinanze tenendo conto che la zona è molto umida, dunque valutare bene magari qualche piano superiore e più vicino a Mckenzie street

Heeel relexed. Je loopt zo vanaf de grote tuin de natuur in. De guesthous bestaat uit twee panden, elke met 5 kamer en een zwembad. Het is dus ruim opgezet en je hebt praktisch het rijk voor jezelf. Goed ontbijt, een prachtig natuurpark en een idillisch strand op een steenworp afstand. Aan de hoofdweg kun je fantastisch uit eten gaan en veel soorten vis/sushi eten. De wasservice van de kleding was niet optimaal maar in de avond lopen er hippo's door het dorp die je van dichtbij kan bekijken!

Mooi hotel, heerlijk ontbijt erg vriendelijke eigenaars en prima kamers. Alleen jammer dat je je raam zelfs niet op een kier open kunnen staan omdat de apen je kamer in komen. Zelfs als er tralies voor ziiten daar kruipen ze gewoon doorheen. Nadeel is dus dat de kamers vochtig zijn doordat je niet kunt luchten.

We recently spent 3 nights at this Guest House. We were met on arrival by Carl, who quickly got us checked in and shown to our room. Ours was on the ground floor of the main building (the guest house is divided over 2 buildings) and had a nice private little patio situated under an abundance of shady palms and trees. The room was a decent size, also containing a small fridge, with a large on suite bathroom (shower only). We did not partake in breakfast, although that is available, served on the patio overlooking the main pool. A nice gesture is an honesty bar available from around 3pm onwards. Very clean and well maintained premises, with off road secure parking.

The host is a very personable man who is easy to talk to. Although English is not my mother tongue, we understood each other very well. In the beautiful tropical garden there are two different pools where you can relax, read and swim. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast delicious.

Nice rooms, good breakfast, in the heart of the national park St. Lucia. Short distance to the entry to the park. There was not problem with late check-in. Around the garden with pool. Very clean and friendly.

Carl and Niki were wonderful. They went above and beyond , from helping with allergies, to a wonderful packed breakfast before dawn, assisting with braai tools. Amazing breakfast and comfortable rooms
