We were in town to see a nephew from San Diego play in a 13U baseball tournament. We were startled awake on Sunday morning around 6:00 am by the constant noise of slamming doors. We didn't think much about it because we had to be awake for an 8:00 am baseball game. So Sunday evening after a long day in the oppressive heat, we were looking forward to a good night's sleep because the Monday game did not start until 10:20 am. So Monday morning, at the same time, around 6:00 am the slamming doors commence. Now we travel with a sound machine & wear foam earplug inserts to offset ambient noise but this slamming reverberated throughout our room. Not sure if it was the exit doors on our side of the building or a supply closet near us, but the slamming was relentless. To make matters worse, the parking lot construction started at 7:15 am right outside our window. What? You couldn't grant your guest the most basic of common courtesy of waiting to maybe 9:00 am to begin? Our main reason for staying was to receive sufficient rest, and this did not occur on either night. If we are in Chesterfield for a baseball tournament again, we will choose another Hilton property. This was the most disappointing & inconsiderate stay we have had at any Hilton hotel.
