You know what you're getting when you book a Premier Inn stay, but this hotel is tired, past its sell-by date and in need of air-conditioning and refurbishment. Staff are friendly, and want to help, but the usual Guaranteed Goodnight's sleep is interrupted due to the room temperature. Smallest TV ever in our room. Breakfast food quality was also mixed over our two nights' stay.

We were travelling to Milton Keynes and needed a half-way overnight stay en-route and on the return journey and so stayed two nights. All was well and we would certainly recommend the hotel for efficient service, cleanliness and it had the additional facility of a pub/restaurant next door.

Although one of the older hotels in this chain, the service from the staff was excellent. I had to stay on twice as long as I expected and they helped me get my clothes cleaned and made me feel very welcome. The adjacent pub has very good food and if you use the offers is extremely good value.

Lovely little hotel hidden just off the main road. One of the oldest I’ve stayed in but definitely the friendliest. Breakfast wasn’t the best but that wasn’t anything to do with the hotel, although I was assured they would pass on the comments. Abby on reception was an absolute delight, I was worried about parking on the far side car park as I’m travelling alone but she insisted I call her and she would walk to me and walk me round. Never in my life experienced customer service like this and as a lone traveller this most certainly is important. Back to the accommodation, lovely rooms, everything fully stocked, great view, nice and quiet and lovely and warm. Hopefully be back soon. J x

So clean with lovely staff. Would stay over and over again! Feel so clean and homely as soon as you walk in the rooms and it helps that both housekeeping and receptionists are amazing. Thank you so much, I will be back again soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lovely friendly welcome, got a room on the ground floor without a ten mile hike which was an absolute bonus. Rooms updated and fresh but need plugs beside bedside tables. Restaurant was equally friendly with good basic fresh food. Both recommended

Dave at reception was super welcoming. Very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much Dave. Why do I need to write a minimum of 200 words. Weird. However Dave was really lovely. Beds were comfy and shower was warm and powerful. Ideal location just off M6

Arrived here for a night’s stay, to break a long journey. We were looking forward to a good night’s sleep but were disappointed that the bed wasn’t the usual Premier Inn size - which is advertised extensively. We’ve stayed in enough Premier Inns to know that it was narrower. Despite this, the hotel was no cheaper than others in the chain.

Visited Wigan Premier Inn J27 as a convenient stop off travelling north to Scotland. Room was clean and comfortable although the bathroom was in full working order it required some TLc. On site is a Hungary horse pub and resturant offering cheap meals and beverages. Premier Inn outsource all there catering arrangements to the restaurant. It worth looking at their Menu if you are considering the £7.99 continental breakfast, particularly if you are like myself only require toast and preserves and coffee, it makes it an expensive option. I would certainly stay here again on my next visit north. Also to mention there is a garage next to the Inn, ideal for a fuel top up before recommencing your journey.
