Only two pluses relating to this visit. (1) the hard working, friendly staff and (2) the cleanliness of the place. The room was beyond basic. Nowhere to put toiletries apart from the floor. Not enough ventilation in the room. We enjoyed our visit to the area but the hotel stay was very disappointing. Wouldn’t go back.

This is the fourth time we have stayed at Hotel52 .... the staff now know us by name, always friendly and welcoming. We absolutely love it, rooms are always clean and interior is well thought out. Definitely recommend a stay, the adjoining bar Rangos is perfect to chill in, their food ... especially breakfast is just out of this world.

Our arrival at the hotel was met with a very warm welcome. The lady on reception was more than happy to tell us about the area, and recommended places to eat, which turned out to be very good. She was really helpful and informative, although she did seem to be slightly distracted, but we later learned that her son had been rushed into hospital with chest pains, but she couldn’t leave as there was no one to take over, which we thought was very commendable of her. The price was quite competitive, compared to other hotels and our room was quite nice, and very clean, but the tv continually turned itself on, and the handle on the bathroom door was loose, but these are minor issues that can be resolved. Despite this, we will definitely return.

Lovely and clean
No one on reception during the night, anyone could walk in - this made me quite anxious and and didn't feel safe. Wouldn't want to stay there on my own.
Also at one point during the night i had misplaced the hotel room key but luckily we hadn't but there would have been a problem, if we had and no one available on reception.
Paper cups - prefer proper cups and spoons.
Price was very good for 2 adults for 2 nights.
Would use again if someone is on reception during the night.

Nobody on reception when I arrived so followed the instructions for self check in. What a horrendous experience. What transpired to be an error in submitting my email address resulted in a code for the keysafes not being sent. The downside to this is once filled in you cannot revisit the check in page. The system needs an overhaul to send the code to the mobile phone number that is also in the rewiired field as well as the email address. Fortunately, Samantha at Rangos (attached restaurant and bar) stepped in to help. She was amazing. As calm and confident an individual I'm ever likely to meet. While my stress levels where going off the scale she sorted out the issues. Thank you. X On a plus side, the room was very comfy and clean. Nice ensuite too. Sort out the check in...please!
