Stanton Manor Hotel

Lovely room and gardens. Food service a bit hit and miss. Both breakfast requests resulted in mistakes by the young staff but overall the experience was fine and would recommend.

We got married at Stanton Manor on 5th April this year, and it was the most incredible day. I couldn’t fault the venue or the staff, both were amazing and exceeded our expectations. We were cautious due to new owners taking over a few months beforehand, however we shouldn’t have been as the day went perfectly. Special thank you to Elise and Jorge who were on it from when we arrived at 7am to late into the evening! The food was fantastic and the bar staff were great all night too. Would 100% recommend booking your wedding here!

Lovely one night stay. Hotel very friendly and welcoming and explained everything clearly. Had a great dinner and relaxing evening.

Overall stay was nice, but the downfall was the water pressure, or lack of any pressure at all, in the bathroom. If you used the toilet, you couldnt wash your hands because absolutely no water would come out of the sink faucets. I understand the hotel is old, but you cant run a hotel without water pressure! The restaurant foid was very good!

We stayed at the Stanton Manor Hotel, to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Our stay was very relaxing and ALL the staff were very helpful and friendly. A huge thank you goes to Ceri, who's customer service, was second to none. A shout out also goes to the chef and his team, who still managed to cook a lovely evening meal and breakfast, during a refurbishment to the kitchen. Thank you everyone, we will definitely return.

A lovely couple of days in a beautiful setting and such a lovely hotel, from the minute you enter the hotel you are greeted with a smile and some beautiful old beams and lots of character (and thats just the charming Portuguese manager) the room was very spacious and light and airy the food was top quality (thank you chef) the bar was looked after by Josh who we got to know quite well over our stay and he made our stay even better and the alcohol went down quite well (being from Ireland the alcohol is quite important), all that said we highly recommend the hotel and will definitely come back again and last but not least you all did the Bride and Groom a great day so all the staff should be proud of there hardwork, Steve &Deirdre.

I came here for my daughter’s wedding. Originally I was going to say 4* but revised my opinion to a high 5*. To get it over with, the initial reduction was because of the breakfast, I only made one. Having got there half an hour before it ended, I only got served 40 minutes later, by which time the breakfast was cold and soggy, and I was never offered a hot drink. Now to the very many brilliant bits! I could not have wished for a lovelier venue for the wedding. The hotel and grounds are classical, extensive and gorgeous. The wedding planner was ubiquitous, efficient, and lovely. The staff all round couldn’t have made us more welcome. My room (wow!) was wonderful, and I’m an inveterate traveller and retired long haul pilot used to luxury accommodation. Parking is plentiful and close to the main door. The WiFi is full strength even in the remotest rooms. Certain staff I got to know in my short time there and we had very (for me!) very welcome banter. The prices were very reasonable for the standard of hotel. I’m no gourmet so won’t comment on the food, but I loved every minute of my stay. One last thing (and this will identify me to the management and staff!); Due to contracting an illness some years ago, I suffer from haemophilia. My arm exploded on the dance floor! Although 2 doctors were present, a staff member applied excellent first aid to the problem and it was an excellent piece of work.

This was a great venue for our son’s wedding. Our hotel room was spacious and immaculate with a lovely view of a beautiful garden. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The food was good and served on time with a lovely buffet in the evening too. Super breakfast the next morning and no rush to get us out of the hotel. I would highly recommend staying here and definitely for a wedding reception. Well done to the new owners and your staff. 👍
