2-Star Hotels in Columbia-Shuswap

Our 2 bedroom suite has 3 stories. The entrance was on the 2nd floor, there were no elevators. On the second floor there were 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and laundry. Go up a flight of stairs there’s the living room, kitchen and dining area, and a powder room. The house was generally clean and tidy. But when we were about to go to sleep we saw a few strands of hair under the pillows and it was quite disturbing. We knew it was not our hair because we saw it just as we were going to bed and picked up the pillows to fluff them; no one had used the bed yet. We then opened the blanket to check and there was one strand of hair under the covers too. Management apologized for it and was sincere but that did not help with our experience. It was the hair under the pillows that made us feel that bedsheets were likely not changed. A few other things: Headrail of blind was loose and fell down when we opened the blind. In the kitchen cooking oil/condiments seemed to be provided, but was empty. Overall I would probably have rated this stay 4.5 stars if it wasn’t for the hair on the bedsheets. That made us all feel very uneasy

Good location, family friendly. Free parking, including two spots for electric charging. Staff seemed friendly, free breakfast Workout room and pool with waterslide included Room was clean, but a little bit drab and dark Water was slow to drain out of pur bathtub shower drain.

What a wonderful unique experience. The setting around the lake was beautiful. We appreciated that all rooms face the lake. We enjoyed the amenities, the restaurant and Games area. We would recommend that everyone take the time to tour Ghost Town....sharing the history of the area. It was incredible....loved the train museum! Had a great stay!

There was no elevator, but only 2 short sets of stairs. Was not a problem. Room was good, although don’t understand why there aren’t rooms available at solo travellers prices. No safe.Hot tub had  sand in the bottom . No towels one time. Pool area clean though. Breakfast was good, ran out of a few items and had to ask for them. Good selection of tea, although no Red Rose. Coffee was awesome. Wondering if a smoking tower could be out by picnic tables. Such a nice spot to sit. Instead of smoking out front  at the entrance.

It was in line with expectations and the location was easy to find. The breakfast was nutritious enough, but the variety certainly couldn't be compared with that of a five-star hotel. Home-cooked food would be more comfortable. My friend is also coming to visit, so I will recommend it to my friends.

The room is very clean and unique, and you can really feel the embrace of nature. The boss is very nice, warm and thoughtful. Living in a cabin, waking up in the morning to the sound of birds and insects, and falling asleep to the sound of rain in the middle of the night, it is very relaxing.

As a relay station for self-driving Banff Park and Jasper, the hotel is convenient to travel and can be reached from the highway. The room facilities are basically complete. There are Japanese restaurants and supermarkets within five minutes away, making it convenient for meals. Compared with hotels in Calgary, the price is more expensive and the price/performance ratio is slightly worse.

Have hut tub not sauna, close pretty early tho. Complimtary tea and coffee in the morening.

Overall, the hotel has a good location, but the cleanliness and facilities could be better. The toilet in our room was dirty, which was disappointing. Also, in the morning while I was taking a shower, the power went out for about 10 minutes, which was inconvenient. I hope the hotel pays more attention to room cleanliness and maintenance issues.
