Very Good
AAlfredo KA nice capsule bed. i had a quiet night and very pleasant stay here for the 3D2N.
The Location, cleanliness, and service are all excellent. Another thing is that we were able to enjoy and experience the breathtaking New Year's countdown fireworks from the historic skyline of Georgetown City at the hotel's common area terrace. See the photo taken during that time below.
First of all, the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful.
The Malaysian Chinese lady owner was incredibly kind and always willing to help, which made my stay feel even more welcoming and personal.
As soon as you step outside the hotel, many major tourist attractions are within walking distance, so the location is very convenient.
Aside from that, the room was very clean, cozy, and charming, perfectly capturing the old Penang vibe.
Overall, it’s a simple, compact, and lovely hotel that I truly enjoyed and would happily recommend.
Overall, the experience at the hotel was really fun, there are many good features about it, such as the location, and the facilities.
And the price is affordable too. Thanks for a wonderful time. Housekeeping change towel every day.
Is a Great location, lots of restaurants, great staff, the bathroom is downstairs but it's OK. I would definitely recommend it
Basic but all you need for a short stay! Great wifi and aircon, and such a convenient location.
GGuest UserPlease inform Trip.com the hotel address stated in their record is wrong!!
The grab car dropped me off at No. 75, Lebuh Chulia as GPS did not have Chulia street, he thought is the same address I. MALAY words but after I dropped off I couldn't't find the Chulia Street.
The correct address should be ”75 Muntri street, George Town, Penang
More over yesterday was raining, it passed 12.00am mid night, I had to walk from Lebuh Chulia to your hotel in the rain using my Google Map for more than 15 minutes.
Hotel person inchraged also did not take my call when I called for the 1st time to give me a proper instructions to get into the hotel via digital lock at main glass door. It was one hotel guest happened to came back to the hotel n let me got into the hotel.
It was the 2nd call he had answered.
The hotel is good condition n clean n value for money except for the above wrong address given by Trip.com to get into the hotel especially after 11.30pm as I wasted 1 hour + to walk in the rain.
The room wooden door digit lock of room 208 is not in good condition.
The shower/toilet issues.
# the hot water heater at last cubicle on 2nd floor is leaking at the inlet pipe area, this can cause electrocuted to shower taker. Extremely dangerous.
#The toilet paper holder position in all shower cubicles are directly opposite the water heater. All toilet paper are wet.
AAnonymous UserThe location was convenient, with plenty of restaurants and food options nearby, and the air conditioning worked well during our stay.
However, the overall experience was average. Prior to arrival, we received very little communication regarding the check-in process. The only information provided was an email requesting guest details and a RM300 security deposit. As international travellers preparing to depart, this created unnecessary stress, and we eventually had to make an international phone call to clarify the check-in arrangements.
The check-in process was fully self-service, and we never met the host in person. The apartment was functional, but there were visible signs of water damage and dampness in several areas. The curtains also had noticeable water stains, and the overall condition felt more worn than expected from the listing photos.
The security deposit was refunded after check-out, but despite being advised that there would be no fees, the amount received was reduced due to international transfer charges.
Overall, the stay was acceptable for a short visit because of the convenient location, but the communication, maintenance, and deposit process could be improved.
GGuest UserI'm not sure what to think about this hotel. It has all the essentials (water fountain, ironing board, hairdryer), but the room is poorly soundproofed – you can hear almost everything from outside the windows. There's no elevator, and you have about 10 steps to climb plus more steps to even enter the hotel (which is tough with suitcases and bags). The common areas are extremely hot, and there's no luggage storage (though it was mentioned in the listing, we just didn't see it). On the positive side, the location is great, and check-in was fast. Thanks!
GGuest User- Location is strategic
- Cleanliness is good, all plug points can be used and wifi connection is strong too.
- limited parking space,
- Self check-in, owner will give you instruction before you arrived.
- feels like home.
- good place to stay.
RRonin tanThe overall experience of my stay was great. The hotel environment was quiet, and the room decor was simple but very comfortable. The bedding was clean, and the hygiene was excellent, making for a very reassuring stay. Every day, coming back to the room felt relaxing, without any pressure.
The hotel's surroundings also offered great amenities. There were many food stalls and restaurants nearby with a wide variety of choices, all at very affordable prices. There was no need to specially take a ride to find food. Whether it was for breakfast, lunch, or a late-night snack, meals were easily sorted.
With its convenient location, clean environment, and high value for money, it was a very satisfying accommodation experience. If I'm ever in this area again, I would consider staying here once more.
VVsevolodThe bedding and bed were comfortable. The soundproofing of the windows is below average, and the soundproofing of the walls and door is very poor. Earplugs and a sleep mask are essential here. The room had a good TV and air conditioning. The shower and toilet are combined, and while clean, they could use more thorough maintenance. The kitchen and common areas could be improved for this type of hotel. Hot and cold water, tea, and sugar are provided. Check-in is remote. However, there's an ill-conceived 50MR deposit system that requires filling out forms, and there's no permanent administrator. Despite a 10-minute hassle, the hotel was accommodating and resolved the situation.
WWoody520EdenLocated right in Gurney Bay, with authentic local restaurants on both sides, it's super convenient. I arrived quite early, and Penang hotels seem to be very strict about their 3 PM check-in time. However, I was lucky to meet the B&B owner who kindly arranged for me to check in at noon, which I really appreciated. Overall, compared to similar hotels in Bangkok or Pattaya, Thailand, the price here is a bit high. It's a small place but has everything you need. The soundproofing is terrible; the chanting from the Islamic temple started very early, and you could clearly hear doors closing in the hallway. I also happened to catch the elevator under maintenance and had to climb to the fourth floor. But since it was only for one night, I just made do. The service, though, was still very good.
GGuest UserThe young girl staff very polite and friendly
I feel touch
The location is very conveniently
Outside from the hostel just opposite there has many of restaurants and shops
It has different types of food and desserts
The price is reasonable
It’s quite clean
Call grab is convenient also
I think I will be back again
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent and easy to find. My room was a bit close to the road, so it was quiet at night but a little noisy during the day. The rooftop is also a great spot for drying clothes.
