Es ist eine Burg, da gibt es keinen Aufzug und das ist gut so. Die Zimmer sind für eine alte Burg angemessen, ist eben eine Burg. Das Personal war in jeder Beziehung freundlich und korrekt. Das einzige was ich Verbessern würde. Wir hatten mit Hund gebucht und wurden nicht darauf hingewiesen dass der Hund nicht in das Restaurant mitgenommen durfte. Aber wir müssen eingestehen vll. als Hundebesitzer fragt man nach. Wir sind eben verwöhnt durch Sterstaurants da ist es oft möglich, aber wir fragen eben nach. 👍 ist ein Wochenende wert

The hotel is it self rather beautiful; the setting is in a historic castle set a top a small mountain and the views are stunning. Like most German hotels there is no air conditioning however the beds are lovely and the showers are Sublime. However the heart and soul of any operation is the people and without any question I can say that one of the finest individuals that I’ve ever met working in the hospitality industry works at this hotel. Johannes Vitt is a waiter in the restaurant and his English is perfect as well as his manner and approachability. I was able to enjoy my meal so much more because of his congeniality and his thorough knowledge of the food being served.

Mooi hotel op mooie locatie. Mogelijkheid voor een wandeling direct bij het hotel. We waren op doorreis. het lijkt mij geen locatie om je voor een langere periode te vermaken. Bedden zijn goed al zijn de kussens heel zacht. Onze kamer had de mogelijkheid om te verduisteren. Het ontbijt (buffet) is heel goed en uitgebreid. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het hotel heeft een mooi restaurant in "ridderstijl" en terras met uitzicht. De kwaliteit van het eten in het restaurant viel ons tegen. We hadden daar meer van verwacht gezien de uitstraling van het restaurant. Niet dat het echt slecht was, maar het was ook niet goed. Ik zou er niet nogmaals gaan eten.

Die Burg ist super. Das Restaurant, das Essen, das Personal im Restaurant einfach genial. Das Zimmer hatten wir eine Kategorie hoeher gebucht. Doppelmatratzen, keine Minibar, keine Dusche, kein Kaffee/ Tee im Zimmer. Leider eine grosse Enttaeuschung! Nicht hat mit der Ausstattung auf booking gepasst. Auf sowas erwartet man regelrecht eine Kompensation. Unfassbar war auch die Dame morgens an der Rezeption, die uns einen Kaffee aufs Zimmer brachte und dabei ins Zimmer stuermte, anstatt mir das Tablett in der Tuer zu uebergeben! Die Diskussion an der Rezeption mit ihr war sehr unangenehm. Sehr schade, denn der Abend im Restaurant war so genial. Uebernachten werden wir hier nicht nochmal. Schade, ist eigentlich eine tolle Burg .

Zimmer stinkt nach kaltem Rauch, die Decke ist undicht, es tropft und zieht. Die Rezeption reagiert auf Ansprache mit Ablehnung, von daher definitiv nicht zu empfehlen!, Das ganze mit der Familie in 2 Zimmern passiert, somit kein Einzelfall, schade!

If you like the option of staying in a real medieval castle then this is the place for you. On arriving in the car park you immediately climb a stone spiral staircase to reception! What a welcome. This hotel has been superbly restored and decorated. I have nothing but praise for everything in this hotel: the rooms are comfortable and everything you need is there. Great views across the valley from some rooms. The hotel has an excellent restaurant in the 'dungeons' - not the cheapest meal, expect to pay about €48 for a 3-couse meal but the quality is high, the location is perfect and the service is perfect. Breakfast is also provided and this is also good; pleased to see that some things change if you are staying longer than one night. The village of Staufenberg is pleasant to walk around but there is not too much to see apart from the Upper Castle ruins above the hotel - great to wander around and climb the tower. car parking is extensive and free.

Was für ein ausgezeichnetes Hôtel ab dieser aussergewöhnlichen Location! Sehr gute Adresse, auch um bspw nur gerade auf etwa halbem Weg durch Deutschland unweit der Autobahn zu übernachten - da Hotel bietet aber sehr viel mehr, inkl. Kulinarik und eine sehr zuvorkommende Crew.

Der Empfang war nicht gerade freundlich, für einen Start in ein schönes Wochenende. Die Mitarbeiterin war wohl in falschem Job, schade. Das ursprünglich im Mai gebuchte Zimmer war in der Kategorie nicht mehr frei ! Zimmer war klein, sauber und ganz nett. Die frühere Terrasse sind jetzt drei Tische auf dem Parkplatz; da hier viel mit Hochzeit gemacht wird, fühlte man sich als "Gast" leider nur geduldet und konnte bei schönstem Wetter nur auf der Bettkante sitzen! Die Gastronomie war im Service top, jedoch war die Küchenleistung etwas dürftig zu dem Preisniveau . Das Frühstück passte sich dem ganzen an inkl. totalem Zeitchaos . Wir waren an dem Sa kurz vor einer vorzeitigen Abreise und kommen bestimmt nicht mehr hin !!!!!

Ik heb een vreselijk verblijf gehad in dit hotel. Kamer _ een zogenaamde superior kamer _ zeer gedateerd, stoffig, een badkamer van 1,5 m2. Ouderwets kan charmant zijn, maar dat was dit zeker niet. Het eten was zeer slecht, we zijn er zelfs enorm ziek van geworden. Ik had geboekt voor 2 nachten, maar na de 1e nacht ontzettend ziek geworden, ik wilde graag afreizen en geen 2e nacht meer verblijven, alles was moeilijk er was geen management aanwezig, niemand mag beslissingen nemen. Het terras buiten ieder tafeltje was gereserveerd, we mochten gelukkig plaatsnemen op het terras want het was ontzettend druk, maar omdat we ook eten geboekt hadden mocht het,. Er heeft de gehele avond bijna niemand op het terras gezeten, er waren slechts 3 tafeltjes bezet. Het ontbijt ook niet goed, er werden totaal geen corona regels nageleefd, we waren vrij vroeg maar de broodjes waren op. Spinnenwebben overal. Ik mag wel zeggen mijn slechtste verblijf ooit. En ik ga toch een 10 keer per jaar een lang weekend weg
