We stayed at the Beach resort for seven days and had a great time. I’ll start with the good first: The people working here are very friendly and welcoming, they do a great job. The food and drinks are good, there is a lot of spicy food but easy to avoid if that’s not your thing. The pool is clean and never too crowded. The beach is nice and sandy, it is easy to find a chair and there is plenty of shady spots to get out of the sun. Entertainment is good, Sparkles is very energetic and funny. Shower water pressure is good. Free Wifi is strong throughout the resort and on the beach. And the not so good: The place is starting to get a little run down and needs some updating. The room we stayed in had a musty smell, we kind of got used to it after a while but it was very apparent when we first walked in. The elevators are always going out of service, there is usually at least one elevator working though. There is a lot of sea**** in the water, you can find a couple spots where there is none but it isn’t ideal. There are Jamaicans selling bracelets, ****, and other ***** on the beach. If you’re not interested a simple no thank you works well, they are not pushy and usually don’t come up on the beach too far.
