My wife and I, along with our daughter, recently stayed at the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall 2/16-2/22. We have never had issues staying at Hyatts in the past. This was by far the worst Hyatt experience we have ever had. Not close to worth the amount we spent for our vacation. We had significant issues with this trip. 1st, we booked a club level room and paid 30% higher for club level and the club lounge was under renovation for entire stay. Unfair to advertise club level then not have perks available. The only perk to club level was having our own lounge 24/7 available. When we were told that the lounge was closed, my question is how can the hotel advertise club level, charge 30% higher then fail to have the one and only perk available!!?? Hotel manager and staff had absolutely no answer to that question. 2nd, we found a cock roach in first room. Unacceptable for a 5 star resort. We were moved to a 2nd room. The bathroom door handle would continually come off in 2nd room. Both rooms dated and worn. Not satisfied with quality of room for a 5 star resort. Finally, high school senior trip was booked by your hotel. 300 people from that High School there with over 100 of them being mostly 17 year old kids. To say they disturbed guests is an understatement. The pool bar bartenders would serve the teens all morning into the afternoon. After the constant deluge of orders from the teens at the pool, the pool bartenders would say everyday early afternoon that they were on a "water break" and refuse to serve the kids. However, the same pool bartenders then refused to serve myself and my family as if we were guilty by association. We had nothing to do with that trip. But the bartenders were not trying to determine who was with the trip or not. They would essentially shut the bar down several hours before the time of closing. Then we would try to have a drink at the piano bar in the evening after dinner. At 10 pm, entire 300 kids/parents from trip came for Karoke and took over the lounge. As a result, we left to go to another bar (Union Jack). Then entire HS trip went over Union Jack since they were kicked out of piano bar. Again, had to end night early since Union Jack was overwhelmed. Completely unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. My suggestion is not to book a high school trip! Hyatt knew about high school trip since there was a banner up in lobby welcoming High School! I attempted to have Hyatt rectify these issues and credit me accordingly. I posted this feedback (abbreviated) on Hyatt’s customer feedback section. The response from Hyatt was a boilerplate "apology" e-mail with nothing being offered, no one from customer service contacting me and no real solution other than hoping they could meet our expectations at the next stay at this Hyatt hotel. Other hotel chains were excellent with regard to customer service and rectifying issues for much smaller problems. As a matter of fact, I had a hotel chain recentl
