Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites

Everything was great except some workers were rude and for the fact that I payed so much money for 1 night, we didn't have any toothpaste since we forgot. Furthermore we were told we have to buy it from the gift shop which didn't open until 9am. Very disappointed. I had to eat breakfast without brushing my teeth. I feel like there should be certain things at a 5 star all inclusive hotel since we're paying so much money for 1 night.

We had a wonderful vacation at Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites! The food was delicious with lots of variety. The pools, grounds, and beach were clean, but the best part of the resort was the staff! The entertainment staff were great! Especially Prince Lavy, Don, and Stretch. They always greeted us with a smile and encouraged us to participate and have a good time! The DJ's, Stain, and Tyson always had us on our feet at the disco, on the beach, and the pool parties. Nicholas and Yanik were our favorite bartenders! By the 2nd day of the trip, they knew what we wanted before we even got to them. We had some issues with our room (the shower wouldn't drain, and our air conditioning wouldn't work), but they were quick to fix the issues when called. The scent in the main lobby is very strong, so if you have sensitivities to scents, be prepared. We have stayed at many different resorts, in different areas of the caribbean, but we are already planning to return to this one. The excellent staff made us feel so welcomed and safe. We look forward to vacationing with them again soon!

We stayed 2 nights at Iberostar Selection Suites. We were there for a conference and they booked us in this section. As a couple, this is NOT where we should have been. I wish they gave us the option at the booking to stay in Grand. You are not allowed into the Grand if you aren't registered as a guest. I even asked if I could pay for a pass. You can use the resort to the right which was nice. I was stopped from even walking thru the beach at the Grand. Food is sub-par. Nothing really authentic or non-processed. It was peak mango season and did not see one single one. No Ting on the resort. Lots of buffets until dinner. If you plan to go, make reservations early for the Japanese restaurant. It books fast. The GYM is great. I did a kickbox class. They have a full schedule of events. The equipment is solid. Staff is fun and full of energy. Baywatch was a great group leader. They have paddle boards, kayaks, sailboats all in good condition. Towels are fun and they have a great system with a card so you can get unlimited clean ones with quick return of the wet ones. My biggest concern is the welfare of the staff. Everyone seemed sad, miserable, angry or bothered. So unlike the many other Jamaican resorts we have stayed in over the last 14 years. Despite tips, they were reluctant to give a glimpse of a smile. (Exception, the bartender in the Lobby Bar with the piano) During our dinner at Aunt Ruby's, we did not have our phone so the waitress hastily thru us a paper menu and said "You have 2 minutes" to chose. It was 8 pm and the restaurant is open til 10pm. The woman service **** chicken at the beach seemed so upset, I wanted to comfort her. I hope that the management can find a way to remedy this part.

The property is very beautiful and well-kept. The best part was beach that was wide and clean. We really liked that all restaurants were walk in without reservation that allowed us to try almost all of them. I was not impressed by the breakfast but lunch was really good. The biggest minus was not the best evening entertainment. During day the team was ok but in the evening it was not good at all. We were in Iberostar Maya and it was so much better. Otherwise, we will definitely recommend this property and we had great time.

Very nice family resort. The room was very nice and comfortable. The balcony had a great view of the resort. Mini bar was stocked frequently and the room was very clean. The poor resort is really nice. We also really enjoyed the lazy river and the pool at the neighbouring Rose Hall beach. Really enjoyed the beach there’s great snorkelling which you can do for free. They also have kayaks and sailboats that you can rent. The beach was never too busy. We always had a spot in the shade. Really like the activities there is always something to do. You can use the app to check when things are happening lots of activities for kids, especially. Our daughter loved the star camp. She went for several days and they do all kinds of amazing activities for the kids. The food was very good. We enjoyed every meal that we had there. Everything at the buffet was really good. Lots to choose from even for a picky child. They have a surprisingly, great fitness centre for a resort. There were lots of classes offered like boot camps the head trainer Zeus was awesome. The only negative is the pitch they do to purchase their VIP membership. In order to get the resort credits that you are promised when you book you have to sit through a 90 minute pitch on why you should buy their VIP membership. It is a very annoying and frustrating waste of your morning. It is a little funny listening to them trying to convince you that a $27,000 membership will save you money. I would suggest skipping it. The resort credit are not worth it. Overall, though it was a great hotel and resort.

Fantastic stay - some of the best customer service. Everyone always greeted with a smile and ensured we were always taken care of💕!!Trevaughn was always there to assist!!! The events were well planned and thought out. Thoroughly w joyed the options regarding food and drinks!! One of my favorites was the coffe shop for that late night snacking! Definitely coming back!!

I can't accurately rate the resort yet however, we were notified recently of construction and renovation beginning in June and ending in December. Don't know what to expect but it would've been helpful and would've shown full transparency if the Iberostar Managment advised that construction and closure of the buffet would be happening prior to our booking. This type or work is planned months in advance. Please see the photo I attached with the timeline of the work and closure of the buffet. Don't know if there be any indoor buffets or overcrowding in other dining areas due to this renovation and closure of the buffet? One of the most hospitable hotels In Jamaica! the staff is super kind and super helpful ! they are so sweet and actually care! During my stay, Kimone checked me in and ensured I was happy with my stay and always greeted my family and I when we walked by! they were so kind to my kids ! Cora, the manager, also was soooooo kind and sweet, they really took care of us on this trip ! Their customer service is EXCEPTIONAL !!!

The property is fine but not too notch. A lot of grass and sod is dead around the property, fountains don’t work or aren’t turned on and the lazy river was out of commission for several days we were there. The phones in our room didn’t work and comically the phone in the bathroom wasn’t even connected to any wires! Hopefully no one tries to use it in an emergency. Things that I would like liked to know from reviews before going: They have an environmental focus and therefore don’t have straws or paper napkins (except at breakfast buffet). It can make drinking slushie drinks like daiquiris and pina coladas hard - so bring your own straw or cup with straw for you and others in your party. They have an app with the entertainment schedule but they don’t follow it! Entertainment activities take place but not necessarily the date or time in the app. You just have to hang around the pool to hear what they’re announcing and hope you’re there when there’s something you want to do. There is a lot of tipping going on. Much more than we have experienced at other Caribbean AIs so be prepared with small USD. However, they do have an ATM on site and the front desk can change the $20s to smaller bills. It wasn’t that hard to get into the restaurants. Either show up right when they open at 6 or sign in later knowing you may have a 40 min wait and have a drink in the lobby bar while you wait. They sometimes bring around popcorn in the lobby bar which is nice.
