Fabulous quaint hotel with a relaxing atmosphere amazing Scottish breakfast. There is a bus service into Glasgow or a train station close buy . Both very cheap for day trip to city., as parking is very expensive. The staff are very helpful and kind lovely relaxing stay.

I would like to give my whole-hearted thanks to Tuathal, Lisa, and the team for resolving an initial poor experience. They really turned things around with great service recovery. It’s true to say that if a customer complaint is dealt with in the right way, the customer is likely to be more trusting and loyal than if they had never complained in the first place. I fall into that bracket, and I would certainly stay here again.

Friendly staff and a comfortable, clean room. I ordered chili con carne on my first night in the restaurant. The mince was grey in colour withe the presence of onion and chili, but ingredients such as kidney beans were not present. Along with the accompanying rice and tortilla chips, the dish was extremely dry and not appetising . When I asked a member of staff about the ingredients, the explanation was that is just the way the chef cooks it, apologised and laughed, and walked away. I know this is pedantic, but there is a photograph on the hotel’s Facebook page of a chili con carne dish. The mince contains kidney beans, and looks a completely different colour - no grey in sight! It looks appetising, and the post encourages customers to book. Have I just been fobbed off with a poor excuse, or had the kitchen run out of ingredients, or was the chef not particularly bothered? Who knows, but very disappointing, all round.

We were married here 25 years ago and I booked to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday - the room we had and the food was excellent. Happy to use this hotel again.

Excellent stay here last night. Staff very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Went out of their way to accommodate my dietary requirements ( celiacs disease) nothing was too much trouble. We were staying for a birthday party which was also held at the hotel, a really great venue for this. Great nights sleep and a fabulous breakfast. Many thanks

This hotel is easy to find and was a great base for us. We stayed on the ground floor in a quiet twin room and the room size was fabulous! Staff so helpful and the breakfast was help yourself to cereal, juice and pastries then you ordered your cooked breakfast. My boy loves the option of cooked breakfast in a roll. Brilliant!
