Northway Motor Inn

Very clean, modern, fresh. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a nice hotel in such a remote area. We had a great night’s sleep passing through on a road trip from Alaska. Even though it was late on a Sunday, they helped us order food delivery. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This little hotel is great, it is very clean and taken care of. The employees are fantastic. Even though no dinner on premise or in this little town, the front desk told me about the food options, and even called the place so I could order dinner. It was great food and quick service. There is a market across the street and the do have a grill and a firepit you can use. I recommend have cash either American or Canadian as some place don't use a card reader.

Clean rooms and great service. We'll definitely be back. Staff helped us with directions and recommendations for food. Giving us tips on what to do and see. Fishing on Allen lake was fun, would not have known it was there if the staff hadn't told us about it.

First time in Canada and the friend I’m traveling with has stayed here numerous times. The bed was comfortable for a hotel, as you know they are usually hard. I would recommend them for both short and long term. Only down side is lack of restaurants.

Having stayed there before, I would have booked online but the ********** and *********** had said that no rooms were available. I saw the "Vacancy" light outside. I took a chance and stopped there after a long difficult day of traveling north. The manager was gracious and very helpful. The room was clean, well equipped and a perfect place to rest.

My first time staying at Northway Motor Inn even though it was my 3rd trip to Dease Lake. This is a great place to stay out in the middle of nowhere. Due to it's location, don't expect all the comforts of home, but it did impress me what they are able to provide being so far from the rest of civilization. My room was clean, bed comfortable, building quiet, etc, etc. Allison, Dede & staff are all super friendly (like the rest of Dease Lake) and willing to help you out with anything! I couldn't get wi-fi calling to work on my phone (no cell service in Dease Lake), so Allison let me make the few calls I needed to make with the hotel land line phone since the phone in my room wasn't working (NorthwestTel problem). My recommendation to travelers through here would be to try & get a room with a kitchenette as dining options are near non-existent in Dease Lake. My dinner consisted of a frozen meal from the grocery store across the street that I heated up in the microwave in the hotel lobby. Breakfast the next morning was good for $12.99 at the grocery store deli. I will stay here again whenever my business brings me up to Dease Lake! ~Eric... Owner/Operator SPIRIT BEAR EXPRESS

Our first visit here. We found the motel clean and comfortable and they had a ice machine! We were grateful for the fan in the room as there was a heat wave in the area. Reasonable rates and lots of space. My only complaint was the excess of cigarette butts surrounding the ground by the entrance.

Our room was clean, large and had a kitchenette. This came in handy since food options were limited on a Sunday night, so we got frozen meals at the grocery store across the street. The shower was especially nice, and I had what was probably my best night's sleep during a 22-night trip. The room was on the back side of the hotel and looked into a pretty fenced area with trees and wildflowers. It was interesting to wake up in the morning to a few inches of wet snow. Someone in the parking lot told us that snow in June isn't unknown, but most locals had never seen that much snow so late.

Our vehicle broke down in Dease lake and we found Northway at 10pm, where Dede welcomed us and provided a room. Dede and her staff / other local folks were so kind, going above & beyond to help us get back on the road. This hotel was definitely the highlight of a difficult situation. They made us feel at home, provided coffee, the kitchenette was well stocked, rooms are very clean and comfortable.
