We selected Nobis after an extensive review of options in the area. Overall, we were pleased with our decision. The location was great: close to subway and trolleys, great shopping and an ability to walk to key Stockholm sites. The towels were the best we’ve encountered in a while. Some factors that caused us to reduce our rating: 1. Breakfast was included in our package. Other than the convenience, we were disappointed both in the poor layout and unimaginative offerings. Identical items were presented each day of our 7-day visit. The same wedges of egg and chive omelet, crepes, flavorless bacon and sausage. Only once did the young staff ask us if we wanted another cup of coffee. Otherwise, they seemed inclined to contribute to the congestion among guests attempting to safely navigate the narrow pathway for the buffet offerings. 2. The Nobis WI-FI was horribly inconsistent. We understand that a renovation of multiple structures (which comprise the hotel) creates complications. That should be no excuse for the spotty connectivity WITHIN our room. It was necessary to sit in the (beautiful) lounge next to the Gold Bar to complete some important tasks that required a reliable signal. 3. We needed to leave Nobis early on our departure date. We discussed our situation with the front desk staff. We requested (a) a 5:45 am wake up call and (b) a taxi to transport us to Arlanda Airport at 6:30 am. The desk clerk asked us if (c) we would like a ‘box breakfast’ to take along. We agreed to this idea! In American baseball, a player who gets one hit in three tries is a star. That is not an acceptable performance for Nobis. Only (b) was achieved.
