This was our second time at Hotel Skeppsholmen. The hotel is unique in so many ways. It's a historical property, the rooms are stylish, the view is wonderful, the staff is friendly and efficient, the breakfast buffet is absolutely delicious, and the setting is quiet and relaxing. Skeppsholmen is just a 15-minute walk to the city center and only a 5-minute walk to the ferry station. I highly recommend this hotel.

Highly recommend this beautiful hotel. Absolutely fantastic. We stayed for 3 nights here at hotel Skeppsholmen. The staff were kind and provided exceptional service. This hotel is a hidden gem and perfect location, literally walking distance to the old town and main museums and also very quiet. The hotel rooms are very clean and great complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was quality and made our overall experience of Stockholm all the better.

The location is beautiful but the service is very poor. Our experience from the first meeting until after we checked out was crap. The staff was not understanding and unwilling to cooperate they even managed to throw (or steal, who knows) away a small bag I forgot in the hotel room.

Hotel Skeppsholmen is a delightful and unique hotel. The building is an old military establishment and has been artfully redesigned. While some of the design choices are "form over function" (looking at you bathroom sink and shower), these items are unique and beautiful. A definite plus of this property is the location! The hotel is located on Skeppsholmen Island, an oasis in Stockholm within walking distance or a short ferry ride away from all attractions Stockholm has to offer. The rooms are comfortable, beds are adequate, and the breakfast is a delight. The staff was also extremely helpful and kind. If ever back in Stockholm, we will stay there again. Another bonus was having AC in the room. Highly recommend!

Pros: Gorgeous setting close to, but away from the main part of city with easy access to ferry and bus. Historic and renovated. Cons: Accessible room (which was neither requested nor told the issues) was poorly designed in the bathroom. Shower water drenched the floor causing you to in huge puddle of water. Sink has poor design so that water can come on floor. Breakfast buffet, while delicious, was very poorly planned and stiflingly overcrowded. Like a convention came to the hotel. People crowded around and hovering over table of food. Table should have been spread out into other room so guests could breath. For our very early day of departure, we had pre-ordered a breakfast at a specific time and confirmed details multiple times including before heading to bed the night before At check out no one was there for 15 minutes, they did arrive we were told no one told me you needed breakfast.” While the team is very nice, including the manager, there are a-lot of loose ends and flaws without important details being properly thought out, despite being a beautiful hotel.

Skeppsholem is a little island a short walk over a bridge to Stockholm’s bustling old town and city center. Good location. The island was previously only available to military operations, but now is a great walking and boating area open to the public. The hotel has been renovated from army barracks. The location is beautiful. You can dine on the patio and look out toward the water. The included breakfast buffet is terrific, as was the dining room for dinner later in the day. Hotel staff was very nice. The downsides are several: room itself was quite spartan for the price, with the weirdest bathroom sink I’ve ever seen. No coffee in the room, which for nearly $500 US a night is not good. The “tiny” gym is not really a gym at all—like an extra closet with a stack of weights and one treadmill—one person at a time. Parking for a car is a pain, required by a horribly confusing app. So overall, a nice hotel but some improvements needed and very pricey for what you get.

Perfect in every way. Great staff, amazing location which serves as a small oasis in the middle of Stockholm. The room was a good size with all the amenities you would expect from a hotel in this price range. There were also lovely extras like tea and cookies in our room on arrival. Breakfast has everything you need, hot and cold, and on nice days sitting outside on the patio has lovely views of the water. A great place to be based for your visit to Stockholm. I would stay here again.
