As said in the title … and I genuinely am baffled after reading through the trip advisor reviews that there are hardly any comments about how the walls are paper thin??? We arrived really late/early morning so went straight to bed but had the fright of our lives when we were woken by next door talking and going about their business, it sounded like they were in our room! They weren’t even being loud but you could just hear EVERYTHING- them flushing their chain, closing the doors, talking, even the woman using her hair straighteners you could hear the clacking sound and then her pulling it out the socket … again that’s not their fault but honestly the walls are paper thin… same goes with the windows you can hear everything outside! We came back home feeling like we needed a break from our break as our sleep was constantly interrupted! Were we just unlucky we had people in the room attached to us or did we have a room with no insulation between the walls?! Same went with the corridor you can hear everyone going by especially kids running up and down shouting … not that there were many to be fair seemed mostly adults! Because of this we were mindful of sleeping guests so when we went down to breakfast we slowly shut the door and whispered until away from the corridors as we know how annoying it is! That being said the hotel was very clean and modern, well situated to the main tourist attractions, breakfast was great, we didn’t come across anyone in reception as didn’t need to speak to anyone. Omar on the bar was great! Friendly, helpful and genuine. We ate in the restaurant twice at night … menu not huge but enough to chose from. Couldn’t work out the heating in the room… there didn’t seem to be a thermostat for our own use, we left the window open during the day so it wasn’t stifling hot when we got back. Overall it was a shame about the noise issues but if that’s how the hotels made then there’s no changing that …we probably wouldn’t stay again for that reason but the rest of the hotel was faultless.
