Hotels Near Stureplan in Stockholm

We stayed at this hotel as a family of 5, reserving two rooms - a family room and the smaller room as well. The family room with bunk beds was absolutely perfect for our family. We found the room spacious with a nice view as well. The hotel is located near many restaurants and bars. We didn’t find the street noise to be a problem. The elevator is very small, so we chose to take the stairs to our rooms on the third floor most of the time. There was a wide selection of items to choose from for breakfast, although we did have some trouble finding a place to sit in the restaurant.

Clean, compact & comfortable. Walkable distance from central train station. Down comforters, scenic view from our large window, large screen tv, clean bathroom with shower, free Wi-fi, self check-in (we didn’t have a reservation so we had to check-in with a staff person). We had a “Compact Double” Room for 1,689,00 SEK (about $156 USD) and it was worth it!

Great service and friendly staff

It is a 5-minute walk from Stockholm Odenplan Station, and a 2-minute walk from the hotel door is a subway station, so it is easy to move around. It was a bit wrong that there was no window in the room, but there was no smell and the room was quite neatly maintained. Breakfast is good and tastes good. Considering the price of Northern Europe, it is a place where you can stay at a good value for money.

Beautiful hotel and rooms, well maintained. Location is walking distance from the main attractions and also from the central station. Room has a big size. Breakfast has many options and it is good. I would definitely go back.

I have to say that the hotel is very satisfactory. I stayed in the cheapest room in the hotel at the beginning of March. Although it is in the basement, its air quality and ventilation system is still very good. I spent two quiet nights here, although the hotel has a party in the lobby and bar in the afternoon and evening. But after 10 o'clock, there is no sound. The bathroom of this hotel also makes me very happy, because its bath glass is really beautiful, and it is equipped with a lot of lights to ensure that even if I need to use lights at night, but Not dazzling. I have to say that I was very satisfied with the hotel. I stayed in the cheapest room in the hotel at the beginning of March. First impression - when we got into the apartment we booked we were shocked to see it was much, much smaller than presented in the pictures - see attached presentation pics vs reality. We immediately went to the reception to show them the obvious difference, when one of the front desk officers, named Joel was quite deffensive and strongly rejected my entitled claim to get the proper apartment as per my booking. He said the pics in the presentation were made with wide angles, therefore we need to accept this is the correct room, no mistake was dine. I insisted upon the obvious but I had no one to talk to in order to fix my problem. Later on I made the same complaint to Trip.com - they tried to reason with Joel, but got the same nagative attitude. Joel saga doesn't end here, unfortunatelly... The whole administration of the building might be a bit control freak. Why? Because Guests can not have full control of their room. You can not adjust the air conditioning yourself - you have to call the reception to adjust the room temperature for you. You can not open any window - you have to ask the reception for the window handle, which guess what? It's only one window handle for all of the rooms in the building and each room gets the handle for 1 hour max or at least so it should be if Joel doesn't have other opinion about it. One evening, upon request, Joel gave me the handle and told me to open the windows quickly and give it back to him fast as others needs it now too. I was shocked of course. ***??? Where is my hour? How am I supposed to close the windows then after? Oh...I have to get downstairs to the reception and get it back so that I vould close my windows. BUT wait!! Joel remembered to fully read the post it his colleague gave him before coming upstairs to my room and saw my room number was last on the list and therefore I can keep the handle for a longer period time. He was doing me a big favor. That was his attitude like. Very unprofessional, cold and really wrong attitude for someone working in hospitality. I am afraid I had to react this time and asked him what is his problem really, as it looks like it has a particular problem with me and therefore to any of my requests to get the proper service and comfort I payed for. Joel's Lady colleague was much nicer and helpful. He should follow her example if he wants to stay in hospitality. I left with a bitter taste and very dissapointed with the whole experience at Biz Apartment Bromma due to this important details of my accomodation there. The Biz Apartment concept is pretty nice though overall, is quite new, the location is indeed a bit far from the city, but within easy reach by metro, which has the station right in front of the building. You need to change at Alvik for the green line towards city center. It is also easy to reach from Arlanda Airport by train up to Solna station and than by metro. Downstairs there is a huge supermarket where you can get anything you need for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The apartment is equiped with everything essential to prepare some meals ( microwave, electric stove, dishwasher, toaster, etc.) The bed was very comfortable. A bit too cold in the room. If I were to get the more spatious apartment as per my booking pics, my own window handle and proper room temperature I would book this place again, no doubt.

I had no problem during my 1-day stay. Room was clean, silent, bed really confortable and excellent shower. Liked very much the breakfast. However, when reading the 1-star reviews, I find them very plausible. Probably not a good idea to book the rooms without windows or stay during extreme seasons. The building is quite new, but one can see (check the picture) their standards are not 5-star, so probably a malfunction air conditioning system is to be expected. On the bright side, location is really good, close to Fridhemsplan, where you can catch Flygbussarna to the airport, saving a few bucks.

I booked their single room without window, as I both have no need for excessive in-room amenities and also greatly enjoy small, cosy places (this is not a sarcastic statement: I truly loved the tiny room). There was enough space in the room for the bed, an additional cutout for a small desk, and the private bathroom was nearly twice the size of the rest of the room itself. The walls were painted in a dark grey or purple, as were the bed dressings. It was a perfect, cosy little nook in which I could sleep and unwind a little. Their breakfast is pretty standard fare, no complaints nor highlights. I was content with the mini croissants, yoghurt and fruit; though an unsweetened yoghurt option would have been nice (but again, not a complaint). One issue I have however is with the parking fees. It is advertised on the hotels.com website, as well as the English version of the hotel's own site that parking is SEK100,-/day. However, their internal system, and as I later found while verifying, their Swedish website both state SEK150,-/day. I did not follow up on this until the next day as I arrived late in the evening and checked the listings after having checked in. The monetary difference is negligible, however this was frustrating to be presented with at the point of payment and not updated across the platforms this hotel advertises on. When I asked at the desk about it and showed the FD staff the hotels.com and English version of their site with the lower amount, I was given an apologetic look and the professional version of throwing one's hands up in helplessness. I don't expect grovelling nor immediate refunds (I have read r/TalesFromtheFrontDesk for long enough) but at least a mention that it will be sent up the chain of command would allay my feeling of being misled. Parking in any case is in an underground lot accessible via your hotel card key.

We experienced a very long delay in SJ training and arrived the hotel late with cold and tired body in 21 Jan 9 pm. The reception guy was arrogant and felt like even more tired than us to provide information. He gave us nothing but a very bad impression in Stockholm / the hotel. Yet the hotel location was perfect, view was nice, room was comfortable, breakfast was excellent. Other staff are far more polite and helpful. The hotel was also very near to the famous Kajsas Fisk can just got there in 15 minutes on foot. Supposedly the fast food shop opposite to the hotel served great French hotdog and kebab. Recommended everyone visit there will give it a try.
