Fantastic two night stay in this delightful pub. Our double room was well equipped with everything that we needed. Really appreciated the fresh milk in a flask, huge variety of teas along with coffee and chocolate. Great meal in the evening and incredible breakfast - best poached eggs I've had for a long time.

Staff and facilities really great. Everything from help in advance with booking, to small touches in the room (flask of cooled milk instead of UHT pack), guidance on use of facilities, superb breakfast . Thinking of an excuse to be in the area and book again.

Stayed with friends for a walking weekend. A super clean room.recently decorated and carpeted. Nice amenities- fresh milk in a flask, selection of teas, biscuits, toiletries etc Ate in the restaurant. Service was swift and portions plentiful. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had in a while. Nice selection cooked to order - but very efficient. Great coffee, Hugh quality ingredients- friendly service

Fabulous meal tonight. Friendly staff and top quality food at a good price. I had the braised steak with pepper sauce and colcannon mash and vegetables. Desert was millionaires tart and ice cream. Would recommend. Will visit again when next in the area.

Just had a meal in the restaurant and for the first time my friend and I were very dissatisfied. We both had a roast and it looked as thought it had been thrown onto the plate with no veg in sight as it was under the meat which was cold and had about a spoonful of gravy on it which was just lukewarm.. not worth the money. Sort your kitchen staff out or you will lose business.
