Lovely comfortable hotel. This is my 3rd stay in 3 months. Very welcoming and good friendly service. Very beautiful room and excellent food. The grounds of the hotel are very well kept and pleasant. The terrace is a lovely place to sit to have drinks.

I just booked a last minute dinner for my son's birthday . They accommodate us right away . On arrival staff were very nice came to our table wished my son happy birthday, took our order promptly.. everything arrived in reasonable time . Dishes looked and tasted very good ( board sharer, duck , pork belly , ox c and seabream ) we enjoyed everything. We had no space for pudding but staff kindly brought over a nicely decorated plate with a happy birthday written on it ... great first time experience at this establishment. I will certainly come back with friends

Apart from a small hiccup when the starter appeared before our ordered wine, the service and meal were superb. The food was well cooked and well presented. Our duck starter was brilliant. The staff were friendly and attentive. We were not invited to taste the wine, it was just poured. In the majority of restaurants a sample is offered first. That and the fact it had to be requested again were the only small errors. All in all a very pleasant evening with excellent food.

We were staying overnight in the Hotel (separate Review to follow) and we arranged for four friends to join us for Dinner in the Restaurant. A pre-dinner drink in the sunny garden started our evening off very nicely Skilfully managed by Mat we had an exceptional evening in the Restaurant. The food was excellent, the Staff very friendly and helpful (thank you in particular Lauren) and the Restaurant is very nicely appointed and thoughtfully laid out. We all very much look forward to a return visit.

Overall the place was beautiful, staff were friendly and attentive. We came for our wedding night and the room was small details were beautiful There was a few issues but the operations manager Will sorted them all out asap! Room service was on point. We had lunch downstairs and the food and service were top tier, I do want to have a special mention to Leo the bartender. He genuinely made the best old fashioned I’ve had in a very long time.

Check in was ok but did have to ask where our room was. Booked a Superior double and there was NOTHING superior about it at all, very small room over furnished and cramped. I had to clean very large cobwebs from inside the wardrobe before putting any clothes in it. As it was a very warm afternoon i switched the fan on (big mistake) it was dirty, the fluff and dirt went all over me and the bed, so i had to do more cleaning, Not a good start. The bathroom was well appointed but tiles and windows were very dirty. Went down to the garden area to enjoy a nice cup of coffee (another mistake) the waiter bought the coffee with double (very thick)cream, it was impossible to mix in the coffee so i requested some single/pouring cream which took him 14mins to get, by which time the coffee was now cold so i had to ask for it to be changed, took another 10mins to get. Had dinner in the restaurant with friends, it was faultless, service, quality of food was great, the manager did manage to spill the champagne over the table though. Breakfast was good, excellent choice and quality. Would i pay £235 for this room (including breakfast again, NO. They need to concentrate more on the small details that make for for a very good stay.

I have stayed at the Stone Manor on many occasions predominantly because I have a large breed dog and the hotel is dog-friendly. This morning the hotel have contacted me to let me know they are charging me £50 because my dog allegedly urinated on a chair in the hotel room. I have made it quite clear that my dog is house trained, is not allowed on the furniture (and even if she was, she is far too big to be able to sit on the chair in question!). I also informed the reception that I sat on the chair on leaving the shower so the chair was likely damp because of this. They have put 2+2 together and come up with 5 simply because there was a dog in the room and have promptly charged me £50 for a damp chair. I am not concerned about the £50, but am very annoyed at being charged for something we didn't do. Beware!!. If you take your dog with you, be prepared to be charged for anything that could be misconstrued as pet-related damage. Appalled!

We used Hogarths Stone Manor for our company's summer event. The hotel and grounds were beautiful, and the team were very accommodating. The event went swimmingly without a hitch, which is all down to their amazing team. We will definitely be using them again! Thank you :)
