excellent stay in my home town; vine brilliant

Had a great stay room 2 lovely clean room. Staff were friendly bubbly went above and beyond to help. Food was excellent and drinks reasonably price. If I'm over that way again most definitely stay here. Its in the center of the town with every thing all about

Great service from start to finish. All staff were lovely and accommodating and I even stayed at the bar for a while after some great food. Double bed was huge and had a great night sleep. Would definitely use again. Lots of options for food and drink and a great coffee in the morning. Spacious eating area so felt comfortable on my own. Really makes a difference staying in a great place when you’re on your own.

Martin and his team are excellent . From check in to check out they were faultless. Friendly, professional and welcoming. Special shout out to Yvette definitely the hostess with the mostest. She is so welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for this team. Our room was bright,clean and airy. Breakfast was delicious. All in all a very pleasant weekend away. Thank you Martin and your excellent team.

Me and my husband spent our wedding night here, and many of our guests also stayed. The hotel was lovely, comfortable and clean, the service was outstanding. Martin and the team really put effort into making it memorable. Will deffo stay again!

A fantastic hotel in a fairly central area and not too far from the railway station. A higgledly piggledy hotel as it is very old but my room was lovely. It was spacious with a double bed and en suite shower room. I was greeted at reception by the lovely Yvette who is extremely friendly and helpful. The staff all muti-task so work hard. Can't wait to go back. I have given it a 4 simply because I didn't get to sample their menu.

My new home from home. I have stayed at the vine Hotel on two occasions and loved my stay. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. I will be back again very soon. Lovely 15th century hotel, bar and restaurant. The food is beautifully cooked. Beds are comfortable and welcoming. Thank you to all the staff you make me feel very welcome. J

Stayed here to attend a concert at the Gatehouse, perfect location for this as literally meters away from theatre. Hotel has so much history and the layout is great as you can literally sit outdoors or under cover outdoors. Staff were fab! From first being checked in by young man, we had a laugh with all of the Staff. The 'Mad Scott Lady' (She told me to call her that 🤣) was brilliant at telling us the '*******' bits of the building. We loved it! The Chef was great too and so helpful. Just can not fault the Staff at all and they are extremely busy but still so happy and fun. We stayed in Room 1 which we were glad of as on the ground floor. It was in a great position as you are literally next to the courtyard so we could sit outside our room to eat and drink. We did sample the loaded chips and BBQ chicken wings. Both were lovely, well worth the money and plentiful. Again thank you to the brill Chef whom we loved chatting to on our return from the Concert. The room itself, I get why some people leave slightly negative comments as there could be plenty to improve on decor wise and maintenance, but it really didn't bother us. The bed was huge and mega comfy as was the pillows and bedding and they were all clean so that's all we cared about. The Staff and place more than made up for what we could critise in the room. We would definitely choose room 1 again and we will definitely back even just for a meal as we are not far away. All in all we loved our stay so thankyou to you all.

Room big,big bed desk and chair, tea and coffee with kettle, decorating needs updating room it's self not to bad, bathroom let it down massively grouting in shower needs replacing shower tray filled up plug hole blocked, over all bathroom quite dirty, 1 night stay not worth what we paid, bar area good size food ok, forgot to take photos
