After our pleasant experience back in 2012, we decided to come back in March 2016. We once again were greeted by courtesy, cleanliness and the crew's welcoming attitude, especially Neema and Juma (who are in charge of the magnificent breakfast served every morning) as well as Gertrude who helped us with internet and our room's safety box. Thanks to everybody for helping me to practice with my beginner level spoken Swahili! I highly recommend this structure to everyone. It's quiet, close to both the town center and the ferry Harbor, very clean, breakfast is rich and the staff superb. Nawashukuru wote! Asante sana!

We have had an amazing stay here at this hotel. The place is so nice, the breakfast is tasty, and the staff is lovely people. We really enjoyed the rooftop and, the cosy and relaxing atmosphere here. It was very nice to stay here for some days: close to the city, the WiFi is good and the employees took really good care of us. This is a trip that we will never forget. Thank you so much!.

A friendly hotel with reliable staff who take care of their clients in every way. Not a lucury place, but it's clean and functional. Well placed in a reasonably quiet area. We have been here before, we will come again. That just about says it all doesn't it?

I stayed here one night after landing in stone town.
Perfect spot to nap on and off to get through the jet lag and be right in the heart of stone town. Extremely walkable to sites. The rooms are spacious, excellent shower and super comfy bed. Very clean and was just what I was looking for.
Please note that it was a bit difficult to find. The taxi just dropped me off on the main road because cars can’t access the small streets. Once you know where it is, it’s super simple to return to

The new Princess Salme Inn is a small-scale accommodation in the heart of Stone Town with very spacious rooms and bathrooms. Excellent value for money. Everything you need is provided: a comfortable king-size bed, good Wi-Fi and air conditioning, a wonderful hot shower, and clean white towels. The staff are very friendly and helpful (especially Tunu and Martina). The a la carte breakfast includes delicious real coffee and everything you could possibly want, from six different types of fruit to chapati and pancakes, and even egg dishes of your choice, all prepared à la minute. Be sure to request a room on the top floor, as you won't get much sleep on the ground floor due to the lack of soundproofing, the busy traffic, and the proximity of the doorbell, reception, and breakfast room.
