The Bell at Stow

Highly recommend this property. I was at Stuart House which is a short walk from the Inn. It was charming and had everything I needed. The team were gracious and friendly.

We stayed in the owl room which was next to the fire exit, so it sounded like someone was trying to get into the room until the early hours of the morning and made the room shake. The shower head looked like it would fall on our head as we tried to adjust the poor pressure and temperature kept jumping from warm to ver hot. We were going to stay for two nights for my partners 50th but left the next morning. We did complain and was told we would get a full refund. Instead a week later I have not received anything. The food is expensive for what you get.

A fine example of a classic English country inn, the staff were very friendly nothing was a problem, spotlessly clean, pub and accommodation, Food and drinks to a very high standard. will certainly be booking the Bell on our next visit to Stow.

Fantastic stay. Very accommodating and friendly staff and beautiful accommodation. We stayed in the Fox and Hedgehog rooms in Stuart House (which is 150m from the pub). The rooms were compact but very well designed with a handy little hidden car park. Stuart House is located closer to the centre of Stow than the main pub which was perfect for us. But easy to get between pub and rooms for breakfast etc… would highly recommend

Two colleagues and I were booked in, however we didn't know we'd be staying at Stuart House, though it's only a hop, skip and jump up the road with plenty parking. The Otter room I had was excellent, though I'd imagine it might get a bit stuffy on a hot day. The full English looked amazing the next morning but I made do with an excellent sausage sandwich.

We booked a double room,but were a little disappointed on arrival to find out we werent staying at the Bell as expected, but rooms 200 yds up the street at Stuart House. The room was extremely small and we found it quite difficult to move around the bed area. They had made the most of the space as it was fully stocked with fridge, tea and coffee making , iron and board, hairdrier, TV etc. But a little cramped for our liking. Would have booked a superior double had we known

Has a lovely stay. Room great. Breakfast was really good. Staff friendly.

the upstairs bedroom(named horse) with massive beams in Stuart House was excellent with a massive super king bed. Decor very good & in keeping with the room name. Very comfortable and due to the roof lights & ceiling height it was very light. The over basin mirror, toiler & shower room was well thought out to account for the restricted headroom in that area. In summer it would be good to have blackout blinds for the roof lights to avoid very early wake up. A slightly larger table in the corner would give space for a laptop to be used and replace the very small table used for coffee / tea making. Parking at Stuart House was free and secure. Breakfast at the pub a short distance away was great with excellent poached eggs, also eggs Benedict & Florentine to order. Yummy and good quality buffet. We ate a delicious pub grub meal in the Bell Pub on our 1st night

Superb place to stay. The main inn/pub is near the centre of Stow and serves super food. There is a small courtyard development 100m up the road, which is where I stayed in an upgraded room. The staff are great, and I would highly recommend this as a place to stay - I was very impressed.
