We stayed over April school vacation and the kids and I had a wonderful stay. It was a blessing in disguise that the pool was closed - we experienced all the outdoor space the lodge has to offer. The trails are wide, kid friendly, and ringing the bell at the Chapel was a highlight. We ended up going to the Swimming Hole (courtesy of the lodge), which had a fantastic kid area with waterslide. We enjoyed all our meals, the bed was super comfy, and the staff was very friendly. This was our second stay, and I know there will be more - the views are incredible, and it really is a slice of Austria in Vermont (no passports required!)

One of the Best New England experiences you can have, do the Tours, Learn the True story, Enjoy the fine old European way of thing, and Customer Service they way it should be obvious place where management treats the staff correctly and the Staff want to be there.

The location and views are spectacular. The guest house we stayed at had broken chairs and a table. Took 5 days to get someone to talk with and all they did was remove the broken table. We were left with the broken chair. I would have expected better for the $$$ it cost.

I have wanted to stay at the lodge for some time and so thankful my husband and I finally did! The lodge and rooms are absolutely perfect! The staff is so friendly and accommodating! Already planning another stay!

El Lodge se encuentra en una zona boscosa de vermont, es un 4 estrellas básico, las habitaciones son amplias y cómodas aunque el mobiliario es un poco viejo y las amenidades estándar. Si quieres estar en esa zona en particuar es buena opción, Muy cerquita hay una fabrica de cerveza artesanal propiedad de la misma familia. El lugar es lindo, la comida buena y la cerveza también muy buena

Our fifth visit over the past six years, as always- warm and welcoming. Each visit has magnified the importance f the Von Trapp family story and specific meaning to our own family and story. Highly recommend the experience of coming here and getting more acquainted with the history and challenges endured by the Von Trapp family when they first arrived in America- after having to flee Austria in 1938.

Wow, what an amazing hotel. This place tells a story with the photographs on the walls and what a story it is. They are very welcoming, offered no great service, care and professionalism. Everything you want in one spot. The morning cleaning of the room is probably the best I have seen in any hotel. In and out before you even notice. Lots of activities, walks and wonderful gifts. Plus plus plus, a definite home away from home, no need to even leave the hotel and area they have it all. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Found the Trapp Family Lodge interesting for a one-night stay during the total solar eclipse. We learned the history of the family during the history talk, which I thought was well done, and we found the lodge rooms more spacious and clean than I expected, with very comfortable beds. The lodge was at full capacity during the eclipse and we found the eclipse activities to be not well organized, and the staff trying their best but having trouble keeping up with a full house. Dinner was very slow to arrive for example, with very long delays between courses (our waiter just disappeared for a 45 minute interval), and we waited over 25 minutes for a breakfast table despite having a reservation when half of the tables were empty due to insufficient staffing and a very inefficient system where the check-in man would set up a table in between each guest checking in, causing about a 10 minute gap in seating between each party - and this was for a breakfast buffet. The buffet was heavily picked over and replenished only after we had finished our meal.
