Talta is my favorite place to stay when visiting Stowe, VT. I love that the lodge has a sauna, hot tub, pool, and a bar/food options downstairs some days of the week. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is incredibly friending. The folks up front are so helpful and the bar staff downstairs are friendly and passionate about what they do. I love that there is coffee ready in the morning and is located so close to the slopes.

Tälta was a very nice place. Well kept and well run by a very nice staff of people. It worked very well for where it was located (about 3 miles away from Stowe Mountain). I would absolutely recommend this place and I will definitely be looking for them again in the future for myself.

This is a hotel built for people that will be spending most of their time outdoors or unwinding at the end of the day. It’s a great hotel if you will be skiing at Stowe resort (bus stop out front is a plus). I’ve stayed here a few times now for skiing at Stowe resort over a weekend. Minimalist hotel rooms with extremely comfortable beds built for people that need a nice place to sleep and get ready for outdoor adventures. I like the pegboard gear hooks for hanging items - just with there were More pegboards in the rooms. Could also use more tables in the rooms. Also PLeASE add a welcome mat/rug/boot rug - I hate dragging in mud and snow from outside into the room (we’ve resorted to using a pool towel). If I could change one thing - that would be it!! That and adding more table space or areas to hang gear/coats. Guest services is always extremely helpful and friendly. There is a boot/drying room, pool, hot tub, sauna, lounge with food/bar. Also coffee/water/tea available up front. I saw someone posted that there is no housekeeping service - which I could see being a problem for multiple night stays with dirty/muddy gear for multiple days. If you don’t plan on hauling outdoor gear into your room then it shouldn’t be an issue.

We recently stayed at Talta for two nights. The location to the mountain was convenient. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom and bedroom were very small. The front desk staff were not friendly and never greeted us. Lastly, the milk bottles at the coffee station had mold around the inside rims. We won't be returning.

Cool vibe, clean, close to the mountain, friendly staff, EV chargers — great place to stay when visiting Stowe. Minimalist aesthetic—reminds me of Tourists in the Berkshires. Kind of a hipster motor lodge. Room is a little quirky but it worked.

We came here for my husband's birthday weekend "getaway" and it was a wonderful time. Streamline check-in/checkout process, accommodating staff, clean and stylish common spaces, bedroom (king bed) was luxurious, and amenities (dry sauna, indoor pool, outdoor hot tub) are all an absolute MUST. Really fun to hit up the hot tub when it's nippy outside! Aside from the ideal proximity to downtown Stowe (as well as the mountains), this hotel offers a relaxing vibe. Looking forward to coming back Spring time!

This was now our 3rd stay and we found it even more inviting and special. The downstairs lounge has been upgraded to include snacks and a full bar; we even had music one evening. The staff could not have been more friendly and the rooms small but clean - think Europe. We'll be back, in warm weather next time.

My wife and I recently had a very nice stay at the Tälta Lodge. We liked its convenient location, clean rooms and bath, comfy bed, and friendly staff, who seem to genuinely want guests to have a great stay. We also enjoyed the hot tub, indoor pool and sauna. There's a boot room on the lower level with a dryer that we very much appreciated. That said, there were some disappoin**ents, principally the lack of daily housekeeping. At no time in the reservation or check in process was I informed that there was no daily housekeeping. After I inquired about it on day 2 of our stay, I was asked if I wanted a "light touch" cleaning". Huh? If I'm paying over $300 a night for a room I expect housekeeping and don't want to ask for it. Even getting the trash emptied was beyond their capacity despite my request. The hotel needs to be forthcoming about this policy and disclose it to avoid guests' disappoin**ents and reviews like this. Clearly they are aware of it since it is frequently mentioned in TA reviews. There are a couple of room "design" elements that also need management's attention. The pegs that serve as hooks are impractical. Some of our pegs had a tendency to fall out dropping whatever they were holding on the floor. I asked for a lamp shade for the bare light bulb on our table lamp but was told that that was the intended "design". Please. Also the Z-shaped night tables don't have much room for a book or iPad, more poor design. Didn't know what to make of the round light hanging from a rubber cord. Night light? Lastly, the hallway was quite dark and it was impossible to see into the ski lockers that management has thoughtfully provided. Overall we enjoyed our stay but I wouldn't go back until the above concerns are resolved.

We've stayed here during Chris**as 2023 for a ski vacation. The grouds are nice but not finished:everything is muddy and not enough outdoors lights. Our room has the river view and it was beautiful but the room itself was tiny with no storage, nowhere to put your clothes , only a few hooks to hang your jackets. There was NO room cleaning for the 4 days that we stayed there. We asked for fresh towels and didn't get.Hot water in the shower was barely enough for one person. You can hear everything from the next rooms and hallway. Coming back to a tiny not clean room with all the winter mud was too much for us and we left a day earlier. This is NOT the $500 per night hotel room that we were looking for.
