This was our second visit for the Punchestown Festival and I sincerely hope it won't be our last. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our room which was old fashioned but large and very comfortable. Plenty of cupboard space and everything worked. The staff are efficient and friendly and definitely contribute hugely to the enjoyable stay. Breakfast was excellent as was the food served in the Garden Bar. The General Manager seems to be always on site and makes sure that everything runs smoothly. Looking forward to next year already.

Having moved from The K Club after a golfing couple of days and this being my second stay at The Barberstown Castle I was just as impressed as the first time round. The rooms are beautifully decorated and fully equipped with all the necessary amenities that one requires. A warm atmosphere throughout the entire hotel and castle and food being excellent and plentiful. I would like to thank personally Mr Ted Robinson - Managing Director for making myself, my daughter and the rest of The Race and Stay guests very welcome and being friendly and on hand to make our stay pleasurable.

Firstly this place is excellent value for money. The room was large and lavish in a old world charm. The four poster bed just added that little bit of elegance. The robes were and nice touch and the water and coffee machine a welcome addition. The breakfast is a little bit of a let down when you can see the "paying public" getting eggs benedict etc but it isn't on the hotel menu. Both occasions I have stayed as well there has been a continental buffet on the menu but nothing available. The staff though a very friendly, helpful and courteous. The grounds are beautiful and its relaxing to sit in the garden bar. It may not have the pull of the spa break hotels but definitely worth a visit.

We booked the Elizabethan Suite for the family after my Aunts funeral. We were struggling to find somewhere really nice as it was my Aunts wish to bring family and friends to a nice place. My husband met Phillipa who was lovely to deal with and she organised a meal for us in our own private room. The room was beautiful, the food was amazing and the staff were friendly and efficient. Considering we only booked it the day before, it was so nice. It meant a lot to us to be able to fulfill my Aunts wishes and the hotel certainly made what was a sad occassion, into a lovely family gathering.

Booked in for the fine dining experience to celebrate the wife’s birthday. It was an amazing experience and a great location, the food was delicious, special thanks to Ronnie C for the excellent hospitality. We look forward to exploring the other dining rooms and are already looking for an excuse to go there again with friends and family.

6 of us (4 Adults, I teenager and 1 10 year old) enjoyed dinner at Barberstown and Castle Hotel and it and it was wonderful. I opted for Fillet of Salmon and it was succulently delicious. The ambience of the room is beautiful and warm. During our dinner experience we met Luke, Áine, Nazir and Amy, who were not only friendly and welcoming but outstandingly efficient too. Many thanks Áine, Amy, Luke and Nazir for making it a memorable and enjoyable visit.
