I got our room for our visit to Carrollton, OH for our daughter's wedding. We booked for 2 nights and brought our very old Pug, Eddie with us. The hotel being pet friendly was a blessing and it was very quiet for him to relax while we were out. The room was spacious and there was a 'kitchenette'. The kitchenette really only meant there was an extra sink... and some empty cabinets above... that's it. When we arrived, we were put on the 3rd floor and it smelled like someone was just in the hallway smoking cigarettes all day. It was repulsive. I asked the girl at the desk if the rooms were non-smoking, she said - "The room you are in is non-smoking, but the floor does have smoking rooms on it." She said the 2nd and 3rd floors had some smoking rooms. I asked for a room on the 1st floor - they were all booked. I understand that there's a chance I am offending the smokers by this review, but seriously, there's a time and place for everything. Having smoking and non-smoking rooms next to each other is oxy*****. It's like having a non-smoking table next to a smoking table at a restaurant. It's the SAME AIR!! So the room smelled bad. So what? Everything about the weekend was absolutely perfect. The staff was very nice and was very accommodating to Eddie. Smiles everywhere and friendly waves when we passed the desk to take Eddie the Pug out for a romp. The only thing was the beds were a little lumpy and made for a rough night's sleep. The breakfast was different each morning: scrambled eggs/sausage and biscuits and sausage gravy. Hot coffee and cold juice. All quite tasty. Plenty of parking and even though our room was RIGHT across from the elevator, we didn't hear a thing outside of our room!
