Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Mooi Veluwe

The service on the terrace was great, by a wonderful waiter ANGELO. Peaceful place. With the forest and the singing of the birds.

First of all, we only booked one night in this hotel. After some twists and turns with the front desk, we were finally able to get back the room type that we reserved, and the front desk also helped to upgrade the room. Because it was inconvenient to carry so many suitcases, we booked another two nights and changed to a double standard room. We found a few black hairs on the pillowcase and the toilet flush button didn't work. The front desk said they would call someone to fix it. After waiting for more than an hour, no maintenance worker came. My husband couldn't accept it and wasted our time, so he went to argue with the front desk, and then they changed us to the best room. The overall room was clean and the room space was large enough, but I found that there was coffee powder, but no coffee machine, no hair dryer, and the water heater was broken. The waiter came to solve it again. I feel that this hotel is missing things. I always feel that something is missing, and we have to fight hard for everything.

I had a single room. Probably the room with the least favorable layout. :-( It was already a problem to enter the room, because the door has to swing past the closet before there is room to enter. The hotel has carpeted floors. I don't think this is hygienic anyway. There were several questionable stains in the carpet. I didn't like walking around the room barefoot. The bedside table was behind the bed. The wall against which the bed stood had a ledge on which you could place something. Turning on the light at night was difficult, because the lamp is also behind the bed. Other than that it was okay. Shower, toilet, desk and even a small 'terrace' with table/chair. There is a hairdryer and an extra pillow in the closet. I thought the restaurant was very good.

Nicely located. Room tidy but very outdated

The location is great, quiet in the forest. Room is dated, but all facilities are available and clean. Mattresses are on the soft side, but we slept well. The bar staff does their best, but does not have sufficient knowledge of their own range. When checking in, the reception forgot to report that the restaurant was fully booked for dinner. The hotel apparently prefers to have outside guests rather than taking care of its own hotel guests. Expressed dissatisfaction to reception in the evening, reception was not impressed. Another colleague the next morning when checking out was also not impressed at all. This was our 3rd time in this hotel, but to be honest probably also the last time.

Checked out today after a 2 night stay. Upon arrival on the first day, we were helped by the receptionist and shown to our room. Upon arrival at the room we were greeted by an unpleasant smell, dirty walls and dated room. In addition, there was mold in several places in the bathroom. The sliding doors to our terrace were also defective and there was a large gap. On the 2nd day of our stay we wanted to take advantage of a social deal promotion for a 3-course menu for 20.00 p.p., but there was quite a debacle about availability. We were referred to social deal by the reception because, according to them, they could only view the availability for their own restaurant. We then contacted social deal who indicated that this was not true and that it was a strange response from the hotel. We then contacted the hotel again and “suddenly” they could see the availability and could not receive us in the restaurant. After visiting reception again to ask in person, we were sent away with the same news. On the 3rd day we were woken up around 3:00 am by throwing doors through surrounding rooms. The entire summary of our disappointing stay was submitted to reception upon check-out, but unfortunately only received the response “Happy Easter”.

One night stay. Unfortunately, too expensive breakfast at more than €20 with mediocre choice (the cottage cheese was just yoghurt and the fruit came from a can), unpleasant atmosphere in the hall and in the rooms, no kettle (so no coffee or tea) in the room, but delicious beds with extra pillows and blankets in the cupboard.
