Très bonne expérience dans l'hôtel Scandic Laholmen qui est idéalement placé dans Strömstad : proche du centre ville et juste au dessus du port pour prendre le bateau pour les îles Koster.
Le restaurant de l'hôtel est très bon ainsi que les cocktails !

Väldigt god frukost med mycket att välja på
Omelett gjordes efter önskemål
Fint rum med fläkt då det var väldigt varmt ute.

The hotel is generally modern with a great central location on a small hill between the harbors. We had a very nice corner room overlooking the boats harbor (not the ferry harbor). Lovely terrace by the lobby bar overlooking the water. The town was very quiet so no issue with noise. Limited menu for dinner and few people eating, but the view is excellent. Breakfast was extensive and very good. Limited paid parking on two levels with separate entrances. Get the details when you check in. Be wary of paying for parking and no spaces left, we got the last one. There is town parking nearby as well.

My dad and I stayed one night and were very pleased with the experience. We parked in the city center, a few minutes walk from the hotel. Parking was free (during certain hours). We got upgraded to a room with views over the harbour. Clean and modern room, WiFi worked well and the location was very convenient (but quiet). Great breakfast and polite receptionists.

Her trengs rommene en shining !
Flott beliggenhet i Strømstad med fin parkering. Frokost ok, men rommene er under enhver kritikk !
Gammelt og kun malt opp i grå og triste farger. Føltes som et lagerrom. Ingen safe og dårlig bad.

Excellent Stay
We stayed in a family bedroom that was very spacious, with beds for four, plus a comfortable sleeping couch and a table that seated four. The hotel sits on a hilltop with a beautiful view over the harbor. Breakfast was excellent—truly the best I’ve had in Sweden.

I’ve stayed at uglier sh!t holes in the Middle East and Africa, but not much worse than this. We booked a superior room with a King Size. They gave us a room about the size of a walk-in closet with no AC. The King Size bed was two single beds stacked together. No information was supplied about the need to preorder parking. Their facilities were full so I had to find public parking on the other side of the bay. No excuses were given, nobody even tried to remedy any of this. So much for having a Level 5 Scandic status, which is literally worthless.
