Amberley Inn

We came here as a family group of 20 for my little boys christening and I couldn’t fault one thing, the staff were outstanding and they made 20 people very happy with the delicious starts, mains and deserts. They couldn’t do enough for us and the atmosphere was great. Thank you very much again; we will be back🙂

I would say this hotel is just average overall, it’s not bad but it’s not good. We ate at the hotel first night after a busy day but the evening meal was not to our liking, cold plates, luke warm moussaka and lasagna served with dry tasteless cold chips. Tip for ordering breakfast just say you would like everything on the menu else or order will be wrong or go to the wrong table. The toast arrives first not with your breakfast just very unorganised and again food or plates not hot.

Perfect stay. I have chemical allergy problems and emailed the hotel when booking to ensure no chemicals were used in the room. I accepted/ expected i may react in the rest of the hotel and have to avoid some areas but needed the room to be chemical free. Emails were replied to quickly and extra questions asked. We were put in the garden room ,number 20 , the room was perfect, large space with separate bedroom and living room with a view over the garden ,lovely bathroom with a shower over the bath, no chemical smell anywhere but perfectly clean as was the rest of the hotel. I didn't have breathing problems anywhere in the hotel. The manager told me the name of the products they use so I can get my local pub to change to them. The fruit salad at breakfast was fresh and had different melons, grapes, apple etc , the croissants were dinky but delicious and the coffee was good. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and the bar had a good selection of drinks. It was great to be able to relax and breath easy in this lovely hotel .

I stayed in a lovely room with a four poster bed. The mattress, pillow and bedding were so comfy it felt like I was sleeping on a cloud! The staff are all friendly, the breakfast was great and the lunch and dinner menus were also really good. I would stay there again and recommend it.

We were welcomed by 2 members of staff when we arrived. Checkin was easy. We were given room 2. When we opened the door we were amazed to find a four poster bed. Room was big ,with 3 chairs lagged wardrobe and television. Bathroom, was l big. Had a meal at night. Good choice on menu. Quality of food was excellent. After a good night sleep we went down to breakfast. Good selection of cereals, fruit juice yogurts etc. Ordered a full English breakfast which was coked to order. Very filling. We would recommend this hotel. It is in a lovely position on a hill with good views Brin

We only stayed one night but we were so impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Laurence was extremely efficient and helpful. Ben, behind the bar, was great to chat to. Rooms comfortable and pristine. Evening meal delicious. Only hiccup was a slight mix up with the breakfast order. Would definitely stay again.

Popped in for a drink or two! Danny was very welcoming, friendly, personable and helped us with local knowledge of the area which was very much appreciated. The hotel looks lovely particularly the dining area. Toilets were very clean.

We only stayed one night. The room was in a cottage at the back of the Inn. It was not nice. More like a cheap guesthouse. Dirty carpet, filthy bathroom floor, plain and un inviting room. On a more positive note the breakfast was good but it was like an episode of Fawlty Towers. The service was very slow and the staff didn’t know who had ordered what. Very expensive for the whole poor experience.

Only stayed 1 night but the staff were so helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. Really enjoy our night at The Amberley Inn near Stroud, would definitely stay there again if we were in the area. The Sunday lunch looked great too but we were still full from breakfast.
