The cleaning staff I encountered were lovely and kind, the breakfast was enjoyable, and the location was perfect for being in downtown Stroudsburg. Unfortunately, the condition of the room and hotel itself was very disappointing. For a “smoke-free” hotel, the hallways had a strong smell of smoke. While that odor thankfully didn’t carry into the room, it’s still not what you expect when paying over $100 per night. I will note that the smoke smell did improve during my stay. When I entered the room, I immediately noticed cleanliness issues. Both lampshades had strange splatter marks, the bed skirt had visible stains, and there was hair in the shower. I usually wipe down surfaces when I arrive, but this went beyond what basic sanitizing can fix. I did contact the front desk to request a new bed skirt, and they did replace it, which I appreciated, but that’s something that really should have been addressed before my arrival. Additionally, there were issues at the front desk regarding our wedding room block. Some guests were not given the correct accommodations tied to the block, and when asking about welcome bags, the front-of-house staff appeared to be looking through them and were rude when questioned about it. This added an unnecessary level of frustration to what should have been a smooth experience. I’ve attached photos to show the condition of the room and I have contacted Hilton directly for the issues.

The room could have been cleaner, we found a cookie at the foot of the bed and what appeared to be urine stains at the base of the toilet. Otherwise it was a comfortable stay!

The hallway (first floor) smelled like ****. Our tv was not mounted properly on the wall and was hanging lopsided. The bed spread did not look clean.
