Red Roof Inn Stroudsburg

Didnt expect a 24/hour desk to be someone on a machine and through a computer screen. She was helpful despite taking 20 minutes to provide us with room keys. (it wouldnt dispense from the machine so she had to reset it). The room had a weird mildew smell but I stayed for only one night so it was manageable.

This was the first time I had to ask for a refund from a hotel. The lobby was very run down (paint chipping, old dirty couches, etc). The outside was just as dingy and uninviting. The room itself looked nicer than the lobby until you turned the light on. Both beds had noticeable stains on the covers and bugs on the bed. The front desk staff was the most pleasant part of the experience she was kind, helpful and understanding.

The place was really nice. Bethany at the front desk is a very knowledgeable professional. She was awesome.

Very nice place.It was close to the main town, local attractions, water gap etc The most comfortable bed ever. The room was clean. I just wish they would clean their windows and.provide coffee in the main office. Customer service people were very nice, even when you call them from your room, they answered and they were very accommodating. Thank you

When i arrived they don't have availability for the room then gave me smoking room the odors was disgusting. I can't stay and don't refund the money 😒

The staff were fine. One room was cold despite the setting and the other room was intensely hot despite the settings. The cold room smelled of smoke. The hotel does not appear to have had any updates (beyond vinyl flooring) in years.

The room itself was good, but the overall experience was frustrating due to poor communication and service. We were never told the Wi-Fi password and had to go down to the lobby to get it because no one answered the phones. To make matters worse, the landline in the room doesn’t actually connect to the front desk. On our second day, our room key stopped working entirely, and once again I had to go down to the lobby to have it replaced. Small issues, but having to repeatedly go to the lobby for basic needs really took away from the stay.
