Old Colorado Inn

Excellent!

We stopped at the Inn on our Road Trip, driving from Key West, FL home to NYC. Our goal was to only stop at small towns and independent hotels and Inns. This is not so easy to find these days. Oh, and we had our dog, so pet friendly places only. This hotel is a gem. They could give lessons to other hotels and Inns. Remarkable. Every detail is considered for the comfort of the guests. It’s not a fancy place, but it’s super clean, super charming, the beds are comfortable, and every single thing you might need is there. The friendly Innkeepers, Stephen and Christopher are so helpful and friendly. They are both such kind people and made us feel very welcome. The little town is quiet with a few nice restaurants and shops. The walk along the St Lucie River is lovely. It was a really special stay.

We had a blast. There is no other place I would stay in Stuart. An owner took my reservation, greeted me at check-in and walked us to our cottage and gave us a tour. Listen, it’s an old property. It is quirky and beautiful and festive. Relax and leave your car keys in your room—walk everywhere and try Mai Tiki before you eat or drink anywhere else. If you don’t enjoy this property, you are a stick-in-the-mud and should work on your attitude.

The Old Colorado Inn is an exceptional gem. It is in an excellent location! Room was spotless and pleasantly appointed. Staff were extremely accommodating. I highly recommend this charming Inn.

Comfortable bed, clean room and updated bathroom and kitchen. The Vitale’s are wonderful hosts and OCI is a much better hotel than those on US 1. It’s quiet, and you can walk to eat, shop and get coffee anytime which makes it very convenient for anyone’s taste. Thank you Vitale’s. Steve L

Yet another visit to Old Colorado. It’s like visiting family! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating! We’ve already booked our trip for next year. Thanks to everyone at the Old Colorado Inn!!

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely stay in the Oasis Cottage. Very spacious, clean and comfortable in a great location. We enjoyed the hot tub and the patio. The patio was nice at night with a glass of wine by the fire table. Our hosts and the staff were all extremely accommodating. We enjoyed walking on the Riverwalk and the surrounding area, shopping in town, and a trip to the beach (15 minute drive). The restaurants were all excellent and we walked to all of them: ＞ Kru Thai - Fabulous Thai food that we enjoyed as take-out in front of the Superbowl. ＞ Stuart Boathouse - Great water views, and the food was OK. Service was very good. ＞ Waterfront - Dined upstairs. Food and service were top notch. Enjoyed a nightcap at a cute table along the Riverwalk in their lower venue. ＞ Eighteen Seminole - OK food. Nice setting. Very good service. ＞ Sailor's Return - Great lunch right on the Riverwalk. Highly recommend. One thing to note is that you will hear some train whistles from time to time. Also the Oasis Cottage bedroom is close to the street. You will hear some morning traffic. I am sensitive to noise, and it did not bother me (or my wife).

This Old Colorado Inn delivered a truly outstanding experience. The check in process was smooth and welcoming. The accommodations were spotless and beautifully designed. This hotel surpassed expectations with its convenient location, comfort and service.

Very nice place for a short or long term stay. Full kitchens. Walkable to everything. Very close to waterfront. Loved it
