To me, this is typical for Aramark. "We've got you so we're going to do the least we can to make you comfortable and charge you a lot of $$ for it". To me this place doesn't even try. Very handy to Big Bend NP but next time I'll go elsewhere where they care about their customers. Only way I'd stay here again is if it was the only place available. Double not very comfortable bed (plenty of room for queen), no luggage rack(s), 2 lawn chairs for indoor furniture, don't remember a table/desk, tiny old toilet, etc. It was clean. Glad we were out in the NP during the day.

A new low -- 90 minutes standing in line just to check in! No water, no restroom, no chairs. Ridiculous. Apparently this was due to high demand from spring break and the eclipse, but that's no excuse. Both the RV section and the rooms had one guy handling all the check-ins, and he wasn't especially speedy. Everyone has staffing challenges but that's no excuse either -- management should've covered and picked up the slack. Then the bleak room -- that lacked tissues and provided just one wash cloth -- wasn't worth the money they charged.

Don’t let the bad reviews scare you. It’s not the greatest but it’s fine. I’ve stayed here many times. It’s cheap but clean. Ive always found the staff to be nice. Lots of rooms so you usually can get a room when others fill up. Handy cafe next door.

I really enjoyed my stay in its 2 queen beds motel room. The bedroom and bathroom sink/mirror has been remodeled. There's a mobile device charging port in the room and reading lights for each bed. The room is clean and spacious enough for 2 adults. The motel location is very good, just right at the intersection of highway 118 and the road to Terlingua, next to the only gas station around Terlingua.

Soon after arriving, asked the office to please move a picnic table to our RV site which did not have one, as my partner was not able to help carry one from another site, and was told they would, but then dissed me, never sent anyone to help move one. Wifi is non-existent outside of lobby. Bathrooms and showers were marginally OK. Lots of dust in the air when vehicles drive by. For the price for a RV site, could have been considerably better.

Big Bend is AWESOME!!! This motel IS NOT!!! There are many things wrong with this property – I will go into detail on one of them. You will not have hot water often (or any pressure to push hot water into the shower head), and you will have times when there is no water at all. You will also not get an honest answer from the front desk either by telephone or in person, as to the status of potentially, sometimes, having water. Our stay went like this: Day 1 Wanted to shower after long drive – office said no hot water, took an ice-cold February shower. Day 2 Woke up to no water at all – office said would be repaired by our evening return – it wasn’t. Afternoon clerk said the message was never given to the repair folks. Day 3 after another trip to the office, learned that nothing had been done and the repair folks were not notified – bright spot in the journey, the repair folks were quick once notified and went to work. We had hot water for a short time (able to take a warm shower – the only warm shower of the trip). When we returned in the evening, no water at all. Day 4 Woke up to still no water. Even though we had paid for one more day, we checked out and left. Strongly recommend that you do not stay here.

We stayed in a renovated room, across the street from the main hotel entrance. Different but nice. The front desk said it was because the wifi was better there and the sunset view would be amazing and it was! The hotel didn't offer much, small gift shop and the gas station next door had sit down service for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had breakfast there and it was very good. Our room was clean, eclectic and comfortable. We were surprised that the hotel was very empty yet they placed someone in the room next to us which we could easily hear them talk and then hear their alarm go off in the morning. Thin walls. But all in all a comfortable stay
