I met family from Australia here and we had a very good evening. The service was first class and food was excellent, particularly the dessert, see pic below!!!!My overnight stay was also very good and the breakfast next day was great.

Good location for Alton Towers, but not much nearby.
Service was mixed - duty managers were good and very helpful. Bar staff were average, breakfast staff were below average. They only have one member of staff for breakfast, which is not great if there are more than a few guests. They also charge extra for hash browns in the full English breakfast. The hotel room and restaurant were clean and tidy. Rooms do not have air con and the heating was on high, no way to turn down the radiators without assistance, but unfortunately the reception closes at around 10pm. Overall our stay was adequate but we probably won't be returning.

Fantastic local accommodation. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and comfy. The on-site bar and dining was also very good. We enjoyed fresh ingredients and good quality food on all of our visits. The staff were fantastic here too!
Overall an excellent choice of local accommodation, reasonably close to nearby attractions. We highly recommend.

Its a lovely hotel and the staff are amazing but the bathroom in our room was very tried and two different tiles with cracks in them!

Came for Sunday lunch on Easter Sunday. First visit to the board head. The place itself is lovely, very characterful and charming building and decor and friendly staff. The starters were delicious and well presented. The main was nice, (two different types of roasts) but we both found it really odd that we had to ask for our Yorkshire puddings even though they were advertised as coming with them. The waitress went and got them for us (along with some extra gravy) but she seemed quite shocked that we both wanted one. The stuffing was not a nice texture, it needed to be roasted rather than mushy, but everything else was delicious. Price wise we were very impressed, really reasonably priced food and drink and we will be back to try some of the other offerings.

Everything was perfect. Staff are so very nice and friendly. Food was amazing and room was spot on. Its a beautiful place with beautiful people and surroundings. Absolutely perfect. I'm going to make this my once a month treat. I'd like to congratulate everyone involved for making mine, and everyone else's stay so very enjoyable.

Stayed here to go to wedding at hanbury barns.the room was so spacious and clean the staff were friendly and the food was outstanding will definitely go back for a weekend break. Breakfast had lots of options there was even entertainment on the evening with your meal.

Been using this hotel for 30 years and it is still our favourite . We also do a family and friends meet up for a long weekend for the uttoxer races . They are so accommodating nothing is any trouble ,rooms are so clean and comfortable . The food is plentiful , ingredients well sourced and tastes amazing . So glad they have kept their food homemade . Staff are so friendly and will always make you welcome . See you all again asap and thankyou all .
