Hotel Kapitany Wellness

Very good hotel with excellent location. I liked: - reception and staff - welcome drinks extra for parents and kids - rooms with nice panorama - restaurant and foods - programmes for adults and children - wellness - coktails I do not liked: - nothing

It was easy to park. Check-in was fast. Room was fine, minibar had drinks and some chocolate, but a kettle and some coffee would had been nice. Check-out was also fast and done by a very fruendky lady. I did not try the breakfast as I was in a hurry.

The location of the hotel is excellent, it is located directly at the foot of the Sümeg castle hill. In addition to the classic hotel service, the family business also provides other services (museums, lectures, inn, horse riding, carriage rides, etc.). The wellness depar**ent is a full service, but very noisy. Rest is out of the question. The same applies to the main restaurant. Maybe there is an acoustic problem with them. The selection and quality of breakfast food and drinks is excellent, and average at dinner. Cleanliness is ok. The staff is very polite and helpful.

I spent a long weekend there with my family to celebrate my birthday, and it was a very lovely experience. The place is beautiful and right next to the sumeg castle, the hotel staff were all friendly and helpful, especially with the food due to intolerance/being vegan. I also got a bottle wine from them on my birthday without even telling them about it, which was really thoughtful. I would recommend the place to anyone who's looking for medieval vibes and relaxing.

Brilliant location, beautiful scene and room. The catering is briliant. The staff is kind and polite. The spa and services make you satisfied. Unfortunately, the local interests were closed on monday and tuesday however the castle is opened all week.

I personally like quiet places. This hotel has been quite busy with a lot of families and other middle-class people. Service is exceptionally professional: at every possible encounter fast, perfectly polite and helpful. The hotel itself is also well-designed for the public it serves. Pricing is also exactly corresponding to service received. The inner court may be a little crowded, we have been before the main season where one pool was already filled with water and we could cool ourselves in it after the sauna. A weird minus point is that the small pond in the sauna area is filled with warm water. Also, in the room, the curtains did not really blind light so the morning sun may wake you up. Dinner and breakfast were both enjoyable; not high cuisine but well composed so that both adults and kids can have a good meal. Combined with the nice little town of Sumeg, the castle, the hiking trail nearby, this place can be especially recommended for families with kids. Congratulations to the fantastic team, in terms of service, this place is a rare gem in Hungary.
