This place is a hidden gem if you're not looking for glitz and in-room TVs...in fact I don't think I saw a TV while I stayed there recently. The lodge oozes old-school ski charm and the staff is just outstanding, Brett the manager in particular. It's as close as you can stay to Abasin, and there's a great hot tub steps away apres. Add a cozy fireplace lounge after that and you have the recipe for a fantastic ski vacation. :)

Amazing service and friendly staff in a cozy ski lodge and former stagecoach station. Outstanding 4-course meal and perfect fireplace to relax for an apres-ski. Will make it my go-to place everytime I come to Keystone!

Great food in a cozy a**osphere especially in the winter. The menu is small but nice choices. It’s a good place for a special occasion because it is expensive, but the quality is there. The bar with fireplace has a hobbit a**osphere which I like.

Overall not worth it and variable service quality. Assistant Manager in particular was at times individually rude to all 5 of us there the weekend. Front desk individual (Cameron) is a stand out and should be running the place. Otherwise, we just got the sense it was a Motel 6 run establishment but at Marriott prices. Room was too hot and uncomfortable - even with heat off and windows open. Bathroom amenities were empty from the beginning of the stay and not refilled. Buffet breakfast a joke - nothing remotely similar to what it was pre-covid. Now it's sadder than a Fairfield Inn freebie breakfast. Overall, not worth the money by far and Management does not seem to really care about the guest experience. We had rented 3 rooms this weekend - sadly we'll take our money elsewhere.

AWFUL. DISGUSTING. NEVER AGAIN I want to shout from the rooftops how horrible my experience has been with this disgusting and horrible s$&t-hole of a lodge. Particularly this review is towards the manager who embarrassed me in front of a room full of people and loudly announced that I have to buy alcohol from his restaurant while it is in service while I was sipping on a glass of wine in the lobby. Now the room: the carpet looks like it hasn’t been vacuumed since the 1800s when the lodge first opened. The bathroom had hair all over the sink and shower when we arrived. I have asked for the room to be tidied up for 3 days straight and it has not been touched. Towels: they smell like mold from 1800 as if they haven’t been washed. The humidifier provided was also extremely dirty and smelled like mold. To the general manager of ski trip lodge, you have RUINED MY TRIP TO KEYSTONE AND I WILL NEVER COME BACK.

I’m sorry to say this formerly charming lodge has slipped from its pre-Covid days. The food is good but not as good as before. And my stay of several nights was marred by disappointing service from the superficially welcoming host. There was a mixup with my room which concerned him not a whit. And he was downright rude about helping me get in touch with a local restaurant whose website had failed. My group has stayed and dined here for years and others felt the same. Sadly, it seems to have become particularly unwelcoming to women, whether you are an overnight guest or a diner. The rooms are old fashioned ski lodge style, fine but spare. You’d only choose to stay here because of an overall welcoming experience, which sadly no longer prevails. The breakfast also has slipped, and the music in the dining room at 8:00 a.m. was loud hard rock. The offerings are meager, a loss from the previously lovely beginning to the day. So while I think you might have a nice stay in this inn’s truly charming a**osphere, it’s become a roll of the dice as to whether the service lives up to the surroundings. I’ve skied in many places in the U.S. and Europe, often in quite simple inns, and never encountered similarly indifferent service. It was a very disappointing visit and I won’t return.

Stayed here for a couple of nights passing through to view the fall leaves Overall ok experience, breakfast was pretty good and downstairs had a nice lodge vibe- however don’t expect immaculate rooms upstairs. There was a thick layer of dust bunnies under and behind the beds and on top of some taller pieces of furniture. The pillows (under the pillowcases) were stained a yellowish brown from body oils which was unsettling. The linens were washed in some sort of scented detergent which typically is not the case with basic hotel lodging. Better to keep linens neutral smelling. After seeing that I was a bit grossed out and questioned the cleanliness overall within the room, i.e. condition of carpeting, air quality, etc. I was just glad we weren’t staying very long. If I could do it over, I would have picked a different accommodation, maybe more updated/ newer interior based on the room alone-especially since we had our young children with us and their health/wellbeing is of my u**ost concern. I want to hope the lack of cleaning was because it was off season, but that really shouldn’t matter. Also a weird constant knocking sound from a nearby area within the lodge ( similar to shoes tumbling in a dryer) was constant throughout the night. Became white noise after a while but could have done without the disturbance. Will not be returning based on room cleanliness alone. My husband booked it for us. He is fired from making any future lodging decisions. Need lodging with higher cleaning standards.

My friends and I decided to splurge on a special dinner at the Ski Tip Lodge. We got dressed and we’re impressed by the ambiance and charm of the place. It was a 4 course meal with a few choices for each course. We ordered our meals and wine. Our server was a nice young woman. My first course was a curried soup. Kind of average, but service was going well so far. Second course was an apple “salad” very strange and below par. We were enjoying each other’s company and making the best of the situation at this point. The main course arrived. I got steak and potatoes. The little I had of this course was good. BUT….the a glaring fire alarm started going off. We just sat there for several minutes when an older man in a chef’s uniform walked out and by us saying “you’re gonna have to get out”. No one came and spoke to us. We stood Outside for 20 minutes or so. No fire response and no one talking to us. My friend finally asked for a bill. She indicated we didn’t get to eat our main course or get the dessert and requested that the bill reflect that fact. Our server came back and said they gave us the “homeowner’s discount.” My fried. Already qualified for that and asked for more of a discount. The restaurant refused to further reduce our bill or make it right in any way. Very disappointing customer service and food definitely not worth the steep prices.

It was an amazing stay! A very quaint and charming ski lodge with clean, modern rooms and an amazing free breakfast. It boasts a highly rated restaurant with a 4 course meal that was absolutely incredible, although pricy. Hot tub and two fireplaces on the main floor were an added bonus.
