Fantastic location so close to Surbiton station meant after a speedy check in was able to get the train into london to catch a show. Parking was available not too far away and as we had to rush for a train our luggage was taken to our room ready for our return. The room was clean and bed extremely comfortable with a fab jacuzzi style bath. The spread at breakfast in the morning was delicious, and whilst there was no cooked option, what was available was delightful. Fresh juices - orange/apple, yoghurts, granola compotes, cereal, bread/toast/bagels/muffins, cold meats, cheese, smoked salmon, tomato, cucumber, cook your own boiled eggs with timers, fresh fruit - apples/bananas/satsumas/grapes, croissants/pastries, freshly prepared choice of coffees and teas. Set us up for the day of sightseeing! Every interaction with staff was professional, helpful and genuine! All with a smile 🙂

Great hotel but it really should advertise the fact that the restaurant and bar are closed on a Sunday and not only can you not check in before 2pm, you can’t even leave your bags anywhere as the place is locked up with no staff on site! Regardless of this, the hotel was lovely, quiet, comfortable and great value. Breakfast was also lovely. Will definitely stay again

The room was very comfortable and well-appointed and the hotel is in an ideal situation pretty much opposite Surbiton station. This hotel was converted ten years ago or so from an office block and the furnishings seemed up to date. Breakfast was good - no cooked breakfast from what I could tell but cereals, bread items, cold meats, cheese, pastries etc. The dining area - which I've visited before as it also operates as a cafe-bar - has a variety of seating areas including secluded places facing out to the street, which I liked. In the modern style there is no room phone to call reception but they do put a card by the bed telling you what number to call if you need anything. Staff were generally friendly and interactions were good. Storage space was adequate for the two nights I stayed. The only quibble I had with the bathroom was that bath/shower unit - I spent some time trying to work out how it functioned, and there's a risk of scalding or soaking yourself if you get it wrong. It really needs instructions. I would be wary of the noise issue though, given what other reviewers have said: downstairs can be noisy Fridays and Saturdays, and the pub is next door to a large Wetherspoons. In all, a good stay and a good experience.

Waited ages for someone to answer the front door. Rooms were NOT quiet as requested. Rooms v tired. Only 1 glass and bottle of water between two of us. No hot water in Bath tap of 1 of our rooms. Noise level from bar til 1am at a very unhealthy unacceptable level. My dietry requirement was not met. We checked out after 1 night of no sleep. Hotel refused to refund us for the night stayed. Have spent 4 days of telephone calls to get refund for the night not stayed. Rooms not worth £100 let alone 145!! Not exec standard. Shocking customer service. This hotel needs inspecting and in need of a face lift and staff training!!

The hotel has a very good location, that's the reason I always stay there on my trips. However, this time my experience was far from perfect. Two nights of five I couldn't sleep because of parties in the lounge that took place on Friday and Saturday until 1 AM. My room wasn't cleaned properly: the coffee machine was not cleaned after I used it, and the pads for it were not added. The towels were not changed even after I put them on the floor. They just took some of them and did not add the new ones. One day there was no hot water for a few hours in the morning, which can happen (everyone understands it), but the staff should apologies for it afterwards, and they didn't do it. Overall I like the hotel so it's a pity that it becomes worse than it was previously.
