September 09, 2023 Reliability & trust are the 1st elements we look for when we do bookings. This we didn't get from Agoda & Apt. Hotel Botanik, Sydney. We thought that once bookings are accepted & paid in full, that's already guaranteed. Knowing that Christmas season is peak & it's our 1st time in Australia, we booked in Apt. Hotel Botanik Sydney from Dec. 21-28 through Agoda, 3 rooms for our family of 7, as early as March. End of August, Agoda informed us that our booking was canceled & they could either refund or help us look for another one. There was no reason given as to why they canceled. We asked them to help us. To our dismay, in less than an hour, they emailed saying that they tried their best but couldn't find any. Obviously, they didn't care to try hard enough. Yes they have refunded & compensated us with US387.25 in Agoda points, but this continues to cause us much aggravation. We are again looking but at this time, accomodations in the central area have doubled in cost & are difficult to find.
