I reserved a table at The Dukes Head for a corporate dinner with 30 guests. Dawn, Kye, and Lauren provided exceptional service, being attentive and incredibly helpful throughout the evening. The cuisine was exquisite, and the team was incredibly accommodating to dietary restrictions and preferences. Every dish arrived promptly, ensuring no one had to wait while others dined. Based on my experience, I wholeheartedly recommend The Dukes Head for any event.

I booked a 'snug' room ie. a small double, but it turned out to be a fantastic large room with a superb en suite bathroom. We didn't eat there in the evening but the breakfast was extremely good with a wide choice. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel brewery owned and excellent staff the Room was large enough but the closet space was restricted by the fact that it was a cupboard with an ironing board on the back of the door and a baggage stand inside insufficient hangers didn’t help the tea and coffee facilities were ok but it was limited to 2 of each for our use there were other items on a tray but they had to be paid for separately the bar service was good the restaurant however was disappointing the choice of menu was disappointing too and in our opinion the cost of the food wasn’t justified and the bar seating area was cold and finally we paid for the room in advance and we had until 11:00 am so why would we have cleaners knock on our door at 09:00 and again at 09:30 that’s not acceptable

Lovely pub/hotel Very brief trip but it was all very lovely . The room was really nice and the bed and bedding really comfortable Very easy check in and check out Would stay again. I didn’t get a chance to spend any time in pub or sample the food but it looked very popular and a lovely atmosphere

we booked a table on Easter Sunday for a 1st birthday party. big family event. Food was good but we ordered smaller portions . there seemed to be a small team of very young staff one of whom - a young girl looked quite scruffy in VERY ripped jeans. Not a good look.

We had another great stay at the Duke’s Head. - our 4th stay. We spent 2 nights over the Easter weekend and were looked after perfectly. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, breakfast good quality and plentiful. Big thank you to all the team who did an incredible job at such a busy weekend.

Surprisingly large comfortable room. Huge bed although the mattress was a little firm for our liking, but generally slept well. There was initially a mechanical drumming sound which we fixed by turning off the air con so it was a very quiet night. The bathroom was large and very clean. The sink tap was very hi tech which took some getting used to as it turned itself off frequently and went back to a neutral temperature setting which started to get frustrating as you couldn’t control the flow. Loved all the amenities which included a safety rubber mat for the shower together with the tea and coffee. Yes, we did enjoy our stay and would use again if in the area.
