Such an amazing Inn! The location is fantastic with an amazing lake front. Room was spacious and comfortable. The Inn owners are welcoming and friendly, and the Bistro made one of the best pizzas we have had in a long time. We will definitely be back!!

Not one to write reviews but AVOID this place. I should have been smarter when booking but was swayed by the photos and was hoping to give it a chance. Pam, the owner, terrible customer service. After reading SO many other experiences, you have to know this wasn't a one off situation. Rooms are dingy, beds are old and uncomfortable. Very cute outside bar area but wasn't open when we were there. sad to see so much potential but there are plenty of other places to stay at that are more worthy of hard earned $$ by people vacationing.

We visited in July and decided for a change in scenery from the Leland area. Last year we stayed at the Whaleback Inn in Leland and let’s just say these two do not compare. the Vineyard Inn, the rooms are older, not clean, moldy, and the blinds barely close. The have a “new” cleaning person (that was the excuse) but it goes way past the person cleaning the rooms. As mentioned in other reviews, the location is prime but the location and the upkeep do not match. The restaurant was closed ,supposedly due to staffing shortages which I do not doubt, but still a bummer. We booked for 3 nights mid week and there were very few at the inn. Our 2nd day my son had a medical emergency and we had to head back home 3 hours away. We tried to find the owner for 15 minutes and anyone else we could but NO ONE was around. This was approximately 11:15 in the morning. We wanted to let her know we had to leave. Instead we had to send a text . She said she would not credit us as we didn’t let her know before noon. We tried but as I said she was not around. I do not blame her for not crediting us (although trust me, there were plenty of open rooms) and each person can decide their own business practices. We called the next week to see if we could come back up and maybe have the one night credited back to us as well as staying an additional night and paying. Once again, I don’t fault the owner for saying no, but also know that they could use the business and what good business practices are. To say she was not very understanding is accurate. To say she could have been more understanding is accurate. To say we really wanted to enjoy our vacation is accurate. And to say we won’t be staying there again is accurate. It is too bad, it has potential but for the reasons stated above along with a lack of empathy will keep this inn the way it is. Bummer.

We had a very nice time at The Vineyard Inn. The owner, Pam, was very attentive during our check in. She was going to be away from the desk and even called me to see how far away we were. Since we were close, she waited for us to get there. The Inn was not full mid week so Pam delightfully upgraded our room to a suite. While the accommodations are not new and shiny, they were clean and comfortable. There was a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Our room had a deck outside with a lovely view of the lake. The owner alerted us that there would be fresh muffins from a local bakery and coffee available in the mornings. They were delicious!! There is a sandy beach that we took advantage of, Since it was midweek, there were only 2 other people on the beach. It was like our own private spot. The water was beautifully clear. Such a relaxing place to be. My only 2 negatives were the restaurant wasn’t open when we were there (lack of staffing) and it’s older (but we didn’t mind that). Tips: 1) you don’t need to bring chairs. There are plenty of wicker chairs and a few lounge chairs on the beach. 2) you NEED water shoes / sandals. The beaches here are rocky. 3) I brought my own beach towels. 4) Suttons Bay is a cute town to walk around. Restaurants a little pricey ($18-$20 for hamburger and fries meal) but the food was good and it is a resort town. 5) The Vineyard Inn restaurant is only open on weekends so we always had to leave to get a meal, 6) But you could get a cocktail any time during the day or evening as the owners were prepared to make a drink for you. We had a lovely time overall! So peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing.

Wow. What a great location. Right on the bay with an awesome beach front. Room was nice. Outdoor patio was great to have a drink or a snack. Atmosphere is very laid back. Deep dish pizza was awesome. We will be back.

We booked to stay here in April for our anniversary in June for the weekend of June 25 to 27 and 48 hours before (June 23) we get an email they canceled our reservation! Email stated broken pipe. We scrambled to find somewhere else to stay since it was our planned anniversary get away without kids and luckily found something in Fishtown instead. While driving around during the weekend we decided to stop and see the place and wanted to talk to manager bc we never got a phone call and even left several messages and of course the manager or owner refused to talk with us. Interesting we talked to several couples in the parking lot that said they were there looking at the inn as well and told us to never stay here bc the owner has canceled on them as well and even some weddings! We walked by our room we were supposed to have and it was occupied. So beware if staying here u maybe canceled!

Second time staying here this year. First time at the end of June for our 25th and then this week for a short getaway. We were calling short notice and left a measage and was called back the next day on the first visit. We used their web site the next time and had no problems. Any isues we had were addressed immediatly. The area lost power the first time for the night and Pam brought us candles and was very appolagetic for something not their fault. Had the pizza the second night and was fantastic. We were given fire starters and shown where fire wood was for both stays and sat out at the fire and met some really nice people. What a great place right in the middle of the wineries. With whats going on in everywhere is short staffed they did a great job. We will be back

Man husband booked the inn on Air BNB. The photos on Air bnb site are old photos probably from the previous owners. We arrived to the inn and found the exterior fine, walked into the Guest Registration and was greeted with messy paperwork on the bar and brought to room 5. My first thought was the soaking wet mat that should have been used in the interior, it was disgusting. The carpet on the steps to room filthy. The room which had a wall AC unit was old and loud. Old plaid couch, gross. The upstairs loft was extremely hot and stuffy. No AC unit or fans. The small window in the other room did not stay open. I walked out to the balcony and was welcomed by contractors working on a new outdoor bar. On a return from his walk, my husband found the owner and asked about another room. She asked the woman who checked us in " why did you put them in the Loft." Being that it was late in the day we saw the other room and agreed it was better. It still had an outdated ,loud wall AC unit. The guests staying upstairs were sitting outside our room on the patio chain smoking. My impression is that the new owner is not experienced in owning an inn. What owner has construction started peak season? We were told that the noise was going to finish up soon and it didn't. Bed was old and lumpy. Don't stay here!

We stayed 3 nights here to getaway from life’s busy schedule. We came back rested and refreshed. Our room was beautiful, well stocked with everything we need. Loved sitting right out our door sipping morning coffee. We enjoyed drinking wine watching the magnificent bay. We did not get to do the bonfire but will the next time. We can’t wait to go back. Pam was the best hostess anyone could ask for. She was nice, polite, courteous. We loved talking to her. This place gets 5 stars from us. John and Kathy
