Whenever I return to Suzhou from abroad, I always choose Pingjiang Lodge. It holds a special place in my heart because I used to walk past it and Pingjiang Road every day on my way to school. Plus, the hotel boasts a 500-year-old 'Half Garden.' Though small, it's a quintessential Suzhou garden where you can sit and enjoy tea, complete with parrots that say 'hello.' It's truly a remedy for homesickness, no need to visit other gardens. The service has always been exceptional. During this stay, I mentioned that it had been 40 years since I left Suzhou, and Manager Xiao Tang at the front desk immediately upgraded my room and sent some fruit. Breakfast is decent, and the hotel's homemade toppings are authentic – I look forward to them every morning. The location is absolutely perfect; Pingjiang Road is right outside, and popular attractions like Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum are all incredibly close. There are also various specialty snacks and restaurants nearby. Aside from the crowds of tourists, it's practically flawless. Staying here makes me so happy; it truly feels like coming home.

Traveling to Nanjing with friends, we chose this hotel and its location is fantastic. It's right next to Pingjiang Road, a popular internet-famous spot, and also conveniently close to our main destinations this trip: the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum. The room was spacious and very quiet, with a two-bathroom layout. The facilities were excellent, and the hairdryer was particularly good. The balcony was well-designed, and there were dedicated charging stations. Breakfast was very rich and varied. The overall environment was wonderful, and the service was very attentive. We were a bit late checking out because of a long queue for a meal, but they were very patient in reminding us and helping to coordinate. Definitely worth staying here again when visiting Suzhou!

This hotel boasts an excellent location and a pleasant environment, right by Pingjiang Road, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing, checking out attractions, and dining. The front desk staff were very warm and attentive, contacting me by phone in advance and even upgrading my room – a big thank you for that! The guest rooms are spacious and tidy, and the bathroom is also large and very easy to use. The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety of options and the setting is lovely. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

Just a few minutes' walk from Pingjiang Road and the Humble Administrator's Garden, this hotel offers a quiet retreat right in the heart of Suzhou. There are supermarkets and eateries nearby, and delivery services can reach the hotel. The hotel itself boasts a beautiful Jiangnan-style garden with a water feature, and the pavilions and rockeries look absolutely stunning when lit up at night – perfect for photos! The 'Tianyi Tower' room type I stayed in this time was excellent. The central garden with its water features is incredibly beautiful; during the day, koi fish swim gracefully, and at night, the stone lanterns reflect on the water. Every photo you take here captures that classic Chinese aesthetic, echoing the Ming Dynasty Northern Half Garden's charm, with every step revealing a new picturesque view. The guest rooms feature a new Chinese elegant style. The twin room was spacious, and the magnolia embroidery on the headboard added a lovely touch of Suzhou charm. The bathroom was very well-designed with fluted glass and a circular mirror, and the wet/dry separation was excellent. They even provide Bvlgari White Tea toiletries! The cool, sophisticated white tea scent was absolutely captivating; after showering, the entire room had a subtle tea fragrance, truly showing attention to detail. My only minor gripe was that the water pressure in the shower was a bit low, but otherwise, everything was perfect. The breakfast was authentic and culturally rich. This is definitely a garden-experience hotel you must stay at when visiting Suzhou.

I've never encountered a hotel with laundry facilities like this in all my travels across China. I booked a family room, right? So, can I ask how long it's been since you last changed these children's bedsheets? It looks like they've been used for ages!

The room has a Chinese aesthetic. The location is excellent, making it easy to hail a taxi. There are plenty of photography spots and dining options right outside. The service is warm and friendly; they even help with luggage. The breakfast is delicious.

The location is fantastic, right next to Pingjiang Road scenic area. It even has its own small, authentic Qing Dynasty garden where you can feed the koi. Breakfast was decent, offering classic Suzhou-style pastries. The front desk staff was very welcoming.

From here, it's an easy walk to famous spots like the Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, Suzhou Museum 2, and Pingjiang Road, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. While not large in scale, the hotel beautifully embodies the delicate and elegant style of a Jiangnan garden, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city. What's more, our stay included complimentary tickets to a Pingtan performance and the Lion Grove Garden, offering incredible value for money.
