The Ritz-Carlton Properties in Suzhou

This Ritz-Carlton, newly opened this year, boasts brand-new facilities. Next to it is a Vientiane World mall still under construction; once finished, it'll be incredibly convenient for shopping. Currently, the nearest Rainbow Department Store is a ten-minute walk away. However, for now, staying here means being next to a construction site, so traffic around the entrance might be a bit inconvenient. This minor flaw aside, which is the only average experience I had, let's talk about their strengths. As a hotel management student, I tend to be quite picky, but the service at this Ritz-Carlton was truly 'wow.' Let me first highlight three impressive moments on the day of check-in: ① Upon seeing a pendant on a front desk poster, I casually remarked, 'This is so cute.' The front desk staff overheard me and proactively offered a similar new pendant as a complimentary gift, then went to retrieve it for us. ② When we inquired if the mini-bar was free, we were told it wasn't. After returning to our room, we received a message from the front desk apologizing that the mini-bar wasn't complimentary but offering to arrange any preferred sparkling water or coffee for us. ③ We asked if makeup remover pads were available. The housekeeping department then came to our room, explaining they didn't have specific makeup remover wipes but provided regular cotton pads and even said they had looked up how to use regular lotion to remove makeup, offering an alternative solution. Ritz-Carlton doesn't have a loyalty program; they rely solely on their unique and attentive service at each property to retain customers. The service I experienced at this Ritz-Carlton genuinely moved me and made me remember this specific hotel. It will definitely be my first choice for future visits to Suzhou, and I look forward to the Vientiane World mall next door being completed by my next stay.
