This is a secluded estate in the middle of the desert, which makes getting around quite inconvenient. The facilities feel a bit dated; it seemed like there wasn't even hot water, and the TV was really old too. We just made do for one night and left.

Celebrating a wedding anniversary with family in nearby Swakopmund. The accommodation was mainly used for sleeping. The chalet is well located with all the necessary facilities and we were pleasantly surprised with the decoration for the wedding anniversary.

The camping facilities were good. The ablutions were very clean. It would have been good to have a tap at the camp site, but it could be that the establishment wants to save water.

We had a great time at Gecko Ridge near Swakop. The lodge is about 15 minutes from Swakop, which makes it nice and peaceful! Our room was clean and spacious with all the amenities you could possibly need (including wifi that actually reaches your room unlike many other places we stayed), the staff were really helpful and friendly. Zandre, the owner was very kind and friendly, and the staff can help you with booking activities and tours if you haven't already done it. We really enjoyed the restaurant there too, and the new pool was awesome! I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for somewhere peaceful. It's a very easy drive from Swakop or Walvis Bay to stay at Gecko Ridge. And we loved all the gecko decorations around reception and in the rooms.

My family and I had a lovely stay at Gecko Ridge. The Lodge is a peaceful oasis in the outskirts of Swakopmund. We loved, among other things the fact that the lodge is private and so peaceful. Our chalet No. 1 was clean, with a well equipped kitchenet, and spacious enough for my family. It was very ideal for our holiday stay in Swakopmund. It is very secure too. Zandre' and the staff were very friendly and so helpful to us. We definitely hope to be back here again. Gift - Zambia

I had a booking for Dec 2024, which had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. I cancelled in March 2024, WELL ahead of the booking dates, definitely not an inconvenience to Gecko Ridge in terms of ability to fill the dates again. However, more than a month after my cancellation and numerous follow ups, I still have not received my deposit back, nor any communication from them providing a reason.

Es waren nur wenige Tage, aber es war wunderbar entspannend und inspirierend. Der Pool war gross, das Essen sehr gut und das Personal extrem freundlich. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Vor allem einen Sun Downer auf der oberen Terrasse zu nehmen ist wirklich super.
