Perfectly acceptable accommodations in Swakop. I would especially recommend it for families as they have a 3 bedroom option. We had breakfast only 1 of the days and it was pretty good, very friendly service. Only downsides are that the soundproofing is non-existent and the breakfast did not open on time one morning making for a hungry bunch before our tour. For couples, I'd probably recommend elsewhere, for families I'd certainly consider it.

I booked the one bedroom apar**ent, as I thought the studio might be small. Unlikely, as my apar**ent was massive and I slept on the mezzanine level. The weather wasn't great when I was there, and the mezzanine was much warmer than downstairs regardless of whether the heating was on or not.
Apar**ent was lovely, and clean, with a very well-equipped kitchen.
Ladies on reception were delightful and always willing to help.
Only negatives I have is that there is no lift (and fairly narrow staircases) and no staff around once reception closes. I was slightly concerned that if I had a problem with my key that I wouldn't be able to access the complex after 8.30/9pm.

The Desert Sands Boutique is the ideal accommodation for us when we are in Swakopmund with guests. The rooms are very spacious and small meals can be prepared in the small kitchen. Swakopmund's shops and many restaurants can be reached on foot.

We stayed at this hotel by chance, since that day we had to stay in Swakopmund because we had a car breakdown and we couldn't continue on our way. The owners were very friendly and attentive at all times, they even accompanied us to look for dinner to take away, since they were closing shortly and that way we wouldn't go without dinner. The lady serving breakfast spoke a little Spanish and was also very kind to us. The room is large and very comfortable to spend several nights even. Thank you to all the staff at Hotel Desert Sands for being a ray of light on a bad day!

We had booked a two-bedroom apar**ent for the four of us. It was spacious, bright and modernly furnished. Downstairs a separate bedroom with a (narrow) double bed and bathroom, upstairs on the mezzanine the t****th bedroom with a (larger) double bed and separate bathroom. The downside was that we had requested a bedroom with two single beds when booking, and we did not get that. The bed downstairs was quite small. There was a fully equipped kitchenette, which we did not use, except for the refrigerator. The breakfast was very nice and extensive, definitely recommended to book. A special mention to the super friendly staff, especially a big thank you to Grace, who welcomed us with a big smile every day! The location of this accommodation is also very favorable: within walking distance of the beach and restaurants, in a quiet area. You can park your car in the secure parking lot.

My husband and I stayed here twice with two different groups in April and May. We had had to cancel our visit twice because of covid and the staff were always helpful. Everyone was more than helpful. Our apar**ents were very clean and comfortable. The English breakfast was cooked on arrival and therefore tasted delicious. The reception staff were so kind and gave us good restaurant tipps. It looks like a fairly new hotel. The city center is very close - 5 minutes on foot. There is parking on the ground floor. The gate key fob is given along with the room key. I booked a 2-story room with one bedroom. They put me in a 2-bedroom room - it was nice. The room is very stylish and modern - it looks just great. There is a kitchen fully equipped with dishes, appliances, appliances, etc. My room had 2 bathrooms on different floors. It seemed cool until we tried to use them at the same time. As I understand it, someone brilliantly designed the hotel and each room has a separate water tank and it holds 50 liters. It’s enough for one person to wash, and even then not completely! And because This is a super eco hotel - the tank is heated by some stupid timer. I asked to change something, but it didn’t get much better. The second drawback is ants. They built a highway through the entire room somewhere to the roof. WiFi is good with a traffic limit of 5GB, but at the reception you can ask for unlimited VIP access. Overall, the hotel is awesome, but the administration needs to stop engaging in eco-activism at the expense of guests and pay attention to cleanliness.
