A very warm welcome awaits for any visitor! Dont be put off by the dated rooms! The staff are the crowing glory in this establishment. The breakfast is cooked to perfection and is served hot. I have also dinned in the evening and it was always to a higher standard than the price you pay! Lots of close by parking. The hotel has a very good house keeping team that also runs a laundry service for patrons. I was lucky enough to stay here for a month and I thoroughly enjoyed my time. I highly recommend “The Abby Hotel”, arrive as a customer and leave as a friend.

We wanted a bed for the night and it served its purpose well for a good value price.

A pleasant stay at The Abbey Hotel. We stayed at this hotel for a few nights while on vacation in the UK. Great value and also great rooms. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast at the attached restaurant and it was great. One of the nights they had live music and it was a blast. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to be in the area.

Once again another year at the Abbey Hotel and another great Chris**as Day with the family. We were a table of 10 and everything was great and service was top notch. It was a full event and the plates were coming and going in perfect timing and keeping everyone happy

The hotel is situated on the Isle of Sheppey, close to the sea. I found the staff to be hugely helpful. I requested a room with a bath on my online booking form, and they emailed me shortly after booking to assure me that this would be fine. I was greeted with a very warm welcome on arrival and given a room with a bath as requested. The rooms all have their own front door (motel-style). My room had a small hallway with a large wardrobe leading into the bedroom and a separate door to the bathroom. The decor was tired with 1960s red-and-gold patterned wallpaper on one wall, pale blue paint on the remaining walls and a large pink flamingo artwork to add to the palette. There was a four poster bed, mis-matched furniture (red faux leather chair, blue fabric chair, dark wooden desk, white bedside tables). It was a throwback to the 1960s and different but not unpleasant, made me chuckle a little. Everything was spotless. There was a large family-sized kettle, plenty of tea bags, coffee sachets, hot chocolate sachets, sugar and biscuits. In the bathroom were very nice complimentary toiletries. The towels were thick, clean and of good quality. The bed linen was impeccably clean, white and cotton, probably not hugely high thread count but perfectly comfortable and excellent value for a three star hotel. There was a large flat screen TV. The wifi was exceptionally good, as was the heating (two radiators that could be set to the temperature of your choice up to 26 degrees). There was also an electric fan for people who need it. The hot water was plentiful and perfect for a very hot bath. The shower pressure was good. An iron and ironing board were provided, but there was no hairdryer. I didn’t take advantage of the complimentary breakfast but i overheard other guests praising it. The hotel is exceptionally good value for the area and has a very welcoming a**osphere, I will stay again.

Absolutely terrible, hotel rooms were not great. Bed wasn’t too bad, but room was small (I had a twin room) the bathroom was even worse than the worse. The shelve by the mirror looked like it was going to fall off the wall, the shower was small. And the staff was diabolical and rude at breakfast, ordered bread for the table (8 of us, not all of us ate bread though) then not enough came, asked for more to come and one of the waitresses refused to serve us and was really rude about it. Staff seemed really cliche, and not very helpful at all. If I could rate it a zero I would.
