On arrival at the holiday park, being allocated our accommodation and parking outside to unpack before moving one of our vehicles to the car park as directed by the reception staff on completion, we were approached by a member of the staff team advising that we needed to move one of our cars. They were advised that we were unpacking and on completion would do so as advised by the reception staff. They advised that ‘We had better hurry up otherwise someone would be coming round to tell us off!’ The accommodation and its belongings provided was dirty and required cleaning by us prior to use despite being advised that it was ready for use. There was food debris in the kitchen sink and ants all over the worktops, in the kitchen cupboards and over the oven. We were advised that there was an issue with ants and were provided with 3 ant traps by housekeeping, that did not ease the infestation. We were told that maintenance would be ‘spraying’ the site due to the influx of ants but they were busy, so would get around to it when they could. The same was said when we could not open our bathroom window and maintenance did attend (despite being busy) and broke the lock and handle, advising that a new one was now required, but they did not have a replacement and were busy! The doors to some of the rooms in the accommodation did not shut and the hinges on the wardrobe in the main bedroom was loose so the door was resting on the drawers of the wardrobe, leaving it not fit for use. Two days in to our holiday and a visit to the reception team to chase up these outstanding works and also the internet that was not working. We were advised by a female member of the team in her blasé attitude that maintenance were still busy and to telephone the reservations team as they may be able to help. She obviously had not yet completed her customer service training which was evident of her attitude and response and her lack of detail of asking who we were and what accommodation we were staying in! The bar and the restaurant left a lot to be desired (when it was actually open) We managed to partake in 1 meal at breakfast which was evident of a child size portion despite being called ‘The full Monty’ At other times, we were advised that the restaurant was closed despite meals being served to fellow guests! The bar staff were lethargic and had no recall of completing drinks orders and who they had or were serving. They spoke in derogatory terms regarding the venue and referred to what customers there were (and there wasn’t many) in such terminology that was inappropriate and discourteous to the individual. The staff were very quick to ask for your facility pass despite having previously seen it a number of times during your presence in the venue…..unless of course you were one of the clique or a regular! Though this is probably understandable the lack of recognition and ability to pour a pint, in place being served something that would have looked more acceptable on a cornet

Only putting one because i have to put something. Have attended here numerous times and never had an issue, attended at the weekend and the caravan was filthy, hair in the shower, fat splashes on the cooker and when complaining about this I was apologised to but nothing more nothing less. Since leaving yesterday I have had a call today claiming the tv and pans are missing so when asking Jo if she is accusing me of being a thief she couldn't answer me? I for one did not steal the tv or saucepans how ridiculous! I asked if they questioned their cleaners or so called supervisor who apparently do the checks again couldn't answer...was told I will receive a fine in the post again couldn't tell me how much for! So I had rebooked for august and told them I'll be cancelling to which she said I won't receive my deposit. Not the fact my neighbour whilst staying was scummy af and even laughed about not being a thief whilst getting a ball back from my caravan roof. I will be taking legal action and putting this all over social media along with the papers as I find it funny I complain about the cleaning and then the next day things are missing. Staff are useless can't tell you anything and they expect me to pay the fine of which I will not be. looking forward to hearing from Donna who probably won't call me back anyway.

The caravan was filthy!!! Stains on the seat covers and it stank of old mucky upholstery and smoke. To say it was the beginning of the season, I was shocked how badly it stank. The curtains/ net curtains / seat covers just needed putting through a wash, but nobody seemed to think this was necessary. The carpet was stained and grubby. We complained and a lady came and sprayed the curtains and upholstery with something which only made it worse. She said it would 'bring out the smell of the smoke' and boy did it do that. The smell was even worse. We went with my 87yr old father, and I was ashamed he had to stay in such a caravan. The cutlery and sink/tap areas were grimey. Nobody had 'cleaned' that caravan before we used it. And if it had been cleaned, she needs sacking. The pool and changing rooms were lovely and clean!!! Reception staff were friendly, but wouldn't allow us to move caravans even when we complained about the state of the caravan. There was only 2 pans for 8 people and no frying pan. I mentioned this to the lady why sprayed the upholstery, but she never brought replaced them. There's only a few channels on the TV and no way to add a package for the week. This made evenings for my dad very boring. The sink in the bathroom developed a leak on the morning we were leaving so I reported it at reception. Hope they fix it before the next people arrive! The wardrobes only had 3 coat hangers in them and a ladys false eye lash was stuck on the bedroom mirror - so don't tell me the cleaner wiped that mirror before we arrived!!! Leysdown is very quiet during the week but very busy on the weekend. Personally we loved how peaceful the area was during the week and there's a GORGEOUS bakery just outside the campsite. Worth going just for that!!!. There's lots of arcades and places to grab a quick snack/meal outside the campsite near the front. Great fish and chip shop on the corner. Lovely fish and they give you loads of chips. You can access the beach but it's not within easy walking distance. We had a car so it wasn't an issue and there's places to park up and watch the sea. We never ate at the campsite so I can't comment on that. Overall a poor holiday.

disgusting service, charged 150 for deposit just because we were under 25! even tho the holiday was fully paid, staff were so rude and argumentative, eventually got in the caravan and the utensils were so dirty, sides had marks, bathroom light didn’t work, shower was freezing cold, carpet covered in stains and dirty pillows!!! absolutely disgusting and staff were so unhelpful and rude because we are under 25. age discrimination!!
